The Martian solution says: You can find Ethereal Commander in Overseer. Didn't find in the first one. So how about the mission they create? Nope. And they magically spawn Chrysalids and Hybrids. Well looks like I will have to magically put one into my Containment facility. Because I want to finish this.
This is it, Cydonia Or Bust. We are prepared and loaded. Heavily Loaded. Plasmas, Blaster Launchers, Auto Cannons, Rocket Launchers Tanks, incendiary grenades. There is nothing we aren't prepared for.
The first part of the mars is just blast everything. There are no puny sectoids now. Only the best aliens can offer. Our initial strike is to just nuke every corner.
Unfortunately, our Blaster Launcher tank gets destroyed by sneak muton. Into the second phase. With new updates we can cary over ammunition from the Avenger, so all those blaster bombs will not go to waste. First entrance spot is at northern part of the base, just near to the gardens. Here we lose our cannon tank to a sneaky Ethereal.
We proceed through the dangerous garden area, killing every alien there is.
Second entrance was a little to the south east of the first one. This one was close to large food storage area. It was crawling with Armoured Sectopods and Mutons. Nook almost died there.
There was lots of them, once we've cleared most of the area, suddenly a Chryssalid appeared. He rushed towards our position, Zombie made a reaction shot, but it didn't kill it. The victim of this Chrysalid was unfortunately Space Voyager. In another corner another Chrysalid attacked killing Probaroo.
We finally found the main command room. Mr. Nook and Hatty moved in, later they were joined by Zombie. The room was guarded by the most fearsome of the Mutons who refused to panic. With much zealotry, they returned fire wounding Hatty and killing Mr. Nook.
But finally, we have reached the end, where Zombie get the privilege to destroy the alien brain.
Thanks. That search for Ethereal Commander was painful. Also I thought the Cydonia will be much more dangerous, like aliens immune to every damage.
Nah, like I said before I'm not interested in increasing the difficulty to insane levels. The only things I changed is that the aliens on Cydonia have Plasma Assault Cannon, which is better than Heavy Plasma, you get the Commander Guard, which is only Ethereals, Elite Mutons, Armored Sectopods and other nasties, and the map is larger, plus there's an additional Brain chamber, but it is empty.
