November 23, 200718 yr I've a mission to meet some civvies and take em to the designated area. This is typically indicated by a green area on the map. Problem is, there's no green area or any kind of indicator as to what/where the designated area is.
November 26, 200718 yr They're usually in quite obvious places and are often just off to the side of some building. It is possible that the game stuffed up and forgot to include it. This has happened to me with the SG death pillars that become a mission objective later on. You can't end the mission if you don't go through the act of destroying it. So if it's not there, you can't destroy it. Such twisted logic! The only thing you can do is reload back to the world view and restart the mission. In my case that often meant I had to go and watch a film in the meantime. - NKF
January 16, 200818 yr some missions i had trouble with this as well. soon as it starts rotate the camera with whatever control you use.along the edge of the screen there will be solid white arrows, 'hollow' white arrows, and of course the colors of each squad member. solid arrows are friendly civilians/in need of rescue hollow white arrows are for ENEMIES saved me a whole lot of time by simply left clicking on one of the solid white arrows.the camera will automatically move to the location of the npc. sometimes if said npc is on an adjacent level, either up or down, they may not be visible til you adjust the camera level.
January 16, 200818 yr Author Finding the civvies wasn't the question. The question was "where's the designated area"? It's not always outlined on every map. When it is, it's a green square.
