I had this great game back when it did run with no issues what so ever, but back then no one i knew had or even heard about it :) great fun i had :P

a few weeks ago i got nostalgic when i was going through a case of old CDs... i bumped into that nice firy red CD "X-COM Apocalypse" it all came back!!! :P i was gonna kill them yellow pesky look-a-like ants and blue runing-banging poppers again :) ... But i had big issued managing to get the game running. But i did :P ! And now i`m fighting them bad bad Osirion and stoping the Ugly aliens from taking over my world!! This game is great! :)

But now to what brought me here:

I remember reading on the manual (if only i could find it again ;) ) that it was possible to swap the AI files with other players. The problem is, i don`t know wich files to swap ;) and worse, i got no one to swap them with :) ! i browsed through the CD, but no PDF manual is in there so i got one online somewhere, but it says nothing about these files... Am i confusing this?? is it possible to do so? and if it is, which files are they? and now for the final question, does any one wants to trade their files for my own? i think it would be neat to face someone else strategy!

And now i stop annoying u guys....

Great forum, great site, great game!

a big fat THANKS to you all

Yup, there were some early previews in PC magazines that mentioned such things - the enemy AI was supposed to adapt to your style of play, so for a harder game the second time through, you could copy the AI from your previous completed gamew to the new game and face rock-solid opposition from the first UFO rather than a bunch of suicidal aliens running out the front door :P

There were a tonne of other features such as human interrogations, tracking city officials, prison cells, being able to climb objects and jump properly (not these little jumps your men can occasionally do).

Alas it is the curse of the X-COM series - I think only Terror from the Deep escaped having bits cut out only because it was basically an altered form of the first game, which had a LOT cut out... :P
