richy Posted May 9, 2003 Report Share Posted May 9, 2003 Hi, lemme intro me: im Richy, and i'm here not after money or even trying to get hits for a website, im here cos this is one kick ass x-com site and i thought it'd be nice if i let you know about an online real(ish)-time game i'm planning to run based on X-com Ufo: defense (whatever you want to call it.) the idea is that people can sign up to be an x-com agent, they will be assigned to one of the three area's Military, Engineering or Science. according to the info provided, essentially you get to play yourself. im not sure how sucessful this whole thing is going to be as i need a LOT of people to play the game. if you are interested pleae please please dont be afraid to ask, webby@yeovilgames.com for all your q's if you do want to 'sign up' then please contact me with this info on a scale of 1-5 (5=best) rate yourself for the following: general overall fitnesshand eye co-ordinationphysical capability (strength)IQ (bright or dim?) i hope to see some of you soon. richy Posted May 9, 2003 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2003 it's defo not a raphics based thing, i have been ripping the game just to get some pictures etc for the site. most of the 'action' will take place on the sites message board, all that it REALLY involves is making the desicions for whats going to haooen, then i will do a bunch of dice rolling and write up a report. as i say above if interested, drop a line to my mail, include the 'info' that i requested and then your in, simple as that. richy Posted May 10, 2003 Author Report Share Posted May 10, 2003 who you are is determined by a screening process (much like joining some odd military force or somthin, the provded info's rated out of 5 gives me the info to run through a flowchart i have, that tells me who goes where. the infos i need again: level of overall fitness hand eye co-ordinationphysical capability (strength)IQ (how brainy) each rated out of five 1 being very poor, 5 being godlike. the site will hopefully be up soon so i can just point you there instead of trying to relay info via message boards. any other questions? That is, if we have a large amount of time to make these decisions (like, a day or two), but not small amounts of time (5 minutes) basically, i want to play when i want to play. richy Posted May 10, 2003 Author Report Share Posted May 10, 2003 ooh, had i of known that there was one already i coulda saved myself all those late night's and weekends... oh welldo you know where the other one is (web addy) ? would be nice to see... as for time... no not really any pressure, essentially i pause the game for when info need to be collected etc.so be it a day or a week in between the game goes forward at the pace of the slowest player. Defense -X- Forum also, all other X-com lovers feel free to hang out here, but please no spoiling information, remember ppl it's 1999 and a ufo has just been spotted.. we dont yet know about Psi amps or Blaster Bombs...
