BlakSpek
In the readme file on the CD it's write to run CDSPEED.EXE to make the movies enable for the game, but it's not on the CD and it's not on the TFTD repertory. How to make the movie enable without this file? My CD is from the Microprose special "souvenirs" pack with UFO : ennemy unknow, TFTD, Master of magic and Master of Orion. TIA for the help. Cya!!! NKF
You can enable the movies without using cdspeed. I just have to remember how it's done... However, the first thing to check is whether or not you actually have the movies. Check the TFTD directory on your cd and look for a directory called 'anims' with a bunch of files that are many times larger than the actual game itself. They'll consist of files with .idx and .vid extensions. Copy this entire directory into the game directory on your hard drive. Next, open up a text editor, like notepad or whatever, then type two letters or just save it as a blank file called cdspeed.dat in the sound\ directory. This is important as when I tested without this file, the movies wouldn't run. Then try running the game. - NKF
