synchro Posted September 10, 2004 Report Share Posted September 10, 2004 "unable to authenticate original disc within time limit" this is what i get when i try to run this game. and before the mods and any other starts screaming about me 'buying the original' i should point out i actually did buy this game when it was first released. i installed the patches, 1.1 to 1.3, in the correct order. the cd is not being recognised.why? is it safedisc? can anyone help me out here?i tried using a no cd exe but even tho it said it was 1.3 in the attached readme it said 1.2. which explains why it crashed the game. i would like to play this game again. on my older system it worked fine. a geforce 4 Ti4200, athlon 1800XP, 512mb pc2100 ddr ram and winXP Pro. my new system is Radeon 9800Pro, athlon 3200XP, 2x sticks 512mb ddr running at dual ddr pc3200 ram and winXP Pro.
