  1. This thread now reminds me of Day of the Dead. The original, where they land in the city, and the chap calls out with the megaphone...and the zombies shamble forth.

    And then what? :P

  2. According to the article, the content protection has already been cracked (by one who was so pissed at Vista because he could not view his legally bought content), and M$ was quick to release a patch for the crack...

The only real indication that we have for how committed Microsoft really are to this is the amazing speed with which Microsoft released a patch for the WMDRM (Windows Media DRM) vulnerability, which they rushed out at a speed that even the most virulent worm never produced. This would seem to indicate that they're pretty serious about this, since they prioritised it above any conventional non-DRM-related security problem.

But it didn't stay patched for long, a new crack was discovered and the patch was for nothing. :)

  3. If anyone is interested in some more, here is the "best ten of secret geek". :)

My favorite next to the depression guide is this one, Award for the Silliest User Interface: Windows Search. :)

For authors, or those who plan to become authors, I really reccomend this one :)How to (not) write a novel

Indeed, distraction is what life is all about. If you use a computer for writing your book then make sure you've got a good internet connection, and stay permanently connected. The internet is an invaluable research tool and every time you surf you will find hours of non-stop inspiration.

Ha ha, so true...change write a book to do homework and you got me :) (Is currently taking a "small break" from his technology report, hey it is only the third this quarter!)

  4. As many others I shared this mythical beleif that depression is reserved for a few people with chemical imbalances or traumatic experiences, but not any more.

I have stumbled upon this wonderful guide of how to be depressed, and I never thought it could be so easily! In just 10 small steps, anyone can turn depressive. Thats it, just ten small steps that will work for anyone.

Do not let the myth that "it requires a genetic predisposition, or an intensely traumatic childhood" to become depressed stop you from trying, depression can happen to everyone!

For those already depressed, I hope this guide will help you improve your mental craft to perfection!

Before you reply read the guide at least, or at least a part of it. You will understand what the hell I am babbling about.

  5. www.savetheinternet.com/

Even if this only seem to affect Americans I find it very interesting. Problem is, some big companies in the US want to have the internet for themselves, meaning they can control access to sites, modify your connection speed to specific sites etc based on how much you pay and so on...

Currently, it looks as if those companies are "influencing" (cough) politicians to change the law in their favor...

I don't think I can explain this very good, better if you look it up yourself. :) I recommend it for both Americans and non-americans.

  6. To extend this topic, I want to say good bye here too. After ASs "release" (*cough* beta *cough*) I left here too, butI did try returning (twice actually) as you might remember. Sadly, I just couldn't get myself interested in this site/community again, so I want to make a "real good bye" as I think you deserve it. I might return some time here, but really, I doubt that. I will probably post something here once in a while, but I will for the most part be gone...

So, good bye to everyone here, and good luck with keeping the site alive (hint: Choose a few more games as "site features").

    GOOD BYE!

    /me hugs everyone

  7. ;) OK I searched this Cepelin with google, and guess what? Almost as many findings as with FuntKlakow... Guess this hacker have several bots. :D

And it just struck me, that if this hacker have several bots, some might be able to register on other forums than just phpBB ones.

  8. Read

Someone named "FuntKlakow" have been registering on thousands and thousands of forums in one day. :D I have no idea what this might be, but according to some it might be something nasty. So I just want to warn you all about this.

  9. With "summaries" I meant exaplanations of what the games are about, what you do in them, the way you play them (like explanation of turn-based or SAS), unfixed bugs you might encounter and how to solve or avoid them, what the mods you can download here do, tips on how to play etc. Might be much to do but it would give a good overview of the games.
