Hmm let's see...... When I first started playing UFO it was with a load of mates. And we renamed everyone. Fighting a Muton small scout Maggie Thatcher (yes yes ) spotted an offending Muton. See was out of TU so it fell upon Will Smith (Yes ID4 has just come out) to do away with the big nasty. Things didn't go as planned. Will's aim wasn't very good and as Maggie crumpled to the ground having been shot in the back of the HEad by a Heavy Laser her death screams were drowned out by us albsolutely p*ssing ourselves laughing TFTD also has a wierd experience. One of us decided to use a cheat at the time...but this cheat couldn't affect Psi talents and when our man got MC'ed and killed the entire squadron with his Gauss Pistol doing 250 explosive dmg taking 1 TU to fire, he understood his folly and we went back to normal....CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER....unless they do it properly.

Has been and always will be Chryssalids for me. Memories of my first mission vs them when I went in confidently with my Laser pistol toting dogooders in Personal Armour, and got summarily wiped off the face of the map, losing 2 guys to Sankeman fire and a full 6 + Tank to our grinning demon of doom :hmmm: Ethereals also gave me a munching first up but having encountered them and managing to stun one I proceeded to avoid them for a small while and get rid of anyone who had pants Psi Skill. After that it's only the lovely Sectopod to worry about OK maybe Ethereals aren't my favourite either......... Ah for those days of the floppy version when we didn't know what was coming next....... *sniff*.....good days. Boomer

I falled in loved a lot with UFOs in the past,they were one of the best games I have ever seen on pc and I am a bit disappointed to see that UFO AM have lost great part of the " feeling " that it had. I have to play the demo before judging but I suggest to you to release a patch containing " personality patch and strong changing " ,otherwise I see dark future. Please let us know,even because reading the whole review it seems that final vote should been around 46 instead of 75. Boomer

I strongly hope that the 1.8 Beta reviewed by Lars is quite different from the gold one,because reading the excellent review of Larsen it seems that Beta could have obtained no more than 55% of final rating,considering the lack of personality that Aliens seems to have into Aftermath ,a feature that was one of the classy touches of that game. -In addition the part of his review concerning the balance of the game make me scary a lot,considering Larsen knows what he says,because he played all the previous series. Please read his review ( I know it can take 15 minutes but it is real great ) and please let us know what has changed into the gold release because I'm starting to warry a lot. Boomer

The countdown is approaching the 0 and we are starting to ask to ourselves if UFO producers are ready to release patches in case this will be neccessary. Is the 26/9 date confirmed for the release ? The to the game gap between the number one and UFO is more or less 40 votes,we need to push it up concretely if we want to win,push them up guys,register yourselves twice if it is necessary,but UFO is definely the most wanted game :angel:

Those new screens are simply marvellous! :o If the new control system ( no turns ) will be good as I imagine and hope, we will surelly have to deal with the game of the year. Is perhaps the control system something like Neverwinternights' one ? That was great IMO,even if I love as well the turns system. :angel: Boomer
