  1. I want stun grenade avatar back. grr.gif

I can't even remember what it was. Was it the Stun Grenade with the blue background from the Apoc UFOPedia?

Where is this new one from? smile.png

I think this is the icon from the like/dislike bar.

    Correct teehee.gif

    Welcome back!

    I'm fine. How are you?

It's amusing last time you came back we had an XCOM FPS on the horizon and this time we've got an Enemy Unknown remake coming.

You can go away more often - the next game when you come back might be virtual reality tongue.pngwink.png

I'm great. I have finished uni, landed a full time job, in the process of updating my computer, excited about said new Enemy Unknown remake and things are looking great. The forum looks gorgeous by the way.

What's your thought on the pipeline of new X-COM titles?

  2. After 14 or 15 years of owning this game I finally came around to beating the darn thing today and man do I feel happy. I really don't know why it took me so long. I think I'm one of those gamers that when having a break from a game and finally resume playing I find it hard to get back into the groove (so I think I've re-started a Apoc a handful of times). But this time I stuck it out - YAY! I just had to tell someone(s).

Oh, and I've been inactive from here for a verrrry long time. I just felt the urge to tell the community about my accomplishment :P

  3. Indeed! No cake for you until you make amends (:

I totally understand. I outta get some time for X-COM when exams are over and post over here, ey ey?

Happy Birthday Stun, sorry I missed it I was away.

No worries champ (: Hows the Heep going :(

  4. Yup, happy (belated) 25th birthday Hatfarm! (:

Warm wishes to the man down under: Stun Grenade turns 19 today! Also Adeon and Rezed both are 22. Hope you have a great one, guys! :(

    - Zombie

    Happy birthday boys! (:

Thankyou Zombie and Slaughter. Man, I've been M.I.A. for quite a while now (:

  5. Hunting down those pesky UFOs can be tricky as they're fast and they usually don't appear anywhere near your bases.

Leaving your craft in the sky near the portals isn't an option (at least, not in the earlier stages of the game), but there's nothing to stop you from choosing some random hanger to park them in. Doesn't matter who owns it.

Save the game. Play until you know when the UFO's arrive. Note the time. Re-load the game. Wait until the time approaches and send the craft to all the portals. BLAM!

    Cheating? Nah.... :bleh:

  6. Heh I remember BB struggling with this one. Glad to see he got it working but I wish he would pop up on MSN; haven't seen him in yooonks. And darkblade4, howcome you didn't post on those forums ? I'm just curious..
  7. Yes I would agree with Ego Terrorist but you can get them that cheap these days there would be no point in waiting for the Wii to drop down in price. Plus, Zelda: TP just came out for it so I would recommend getting that first =]

And BB, why do you need/want two consoles?

  8. Its that creepy accompanying synthesizer music, gets me every time.

Yeh I exactly agree and also the fact that you just don't know "what's around the corner.."

Alone in the Dark is pretty scary but meh once you have played it long enough you know that 1)pig comes through window; block window entrance, 2) etc.etc.etc...

Clock Tower.. hmm I played the SNES version of that, I don't know how much scarier it is on PSX?

  9. Hey there, the _BEST_ way to play UFO would be using a real DOS machine which is toned down to the suit the game. Otherwise, if I'm playing on my 'modern' PC I would use the CE version and run the patched(?) exe. But I still have crashes that way . . .
