Four heroes per side, minions, static defences and an enemy base to conquer; all the staples of the genre remain. Yet, having eschewed the typical real-time, moment to moment reactions and hastiness in favour of a more thoughtful, deliberate gameplay, this offering attempts to shift the focus to something decidedly more strategic in nature.
Players can opt to go with the standard two-minute turns or choose to skirmish in asynchronous mode, which affords a hefty two days per turn.
