The Flood Begins!

Marketing Director Marco Minoli kicked things off, and new game announcements started coming in in force! There are also news about continued support to existing product lines and the acquisition of rights to a venerable strategy franchise.

Let's get down to it then. Here's what's hot:

Freshly disclosed Games

• Panzer Corps: Afrika Corps, a surprise to arrive as soon as Q2 2012
• Pandora: First Contact - a 4x strategy game coming Q4 of 2012
• Sovereignty - Region-based grand-campaign strategy game coming Q3 2012
• Legends of War: Patton's Campaign

Other novelties
• Heroes of Stalingrad is really on the way, with release scheduled for Q3 2012
• Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue (release date yet to be disclosed)
• Field of Glory: Unity Update - Will be free for original owners. Expect it by Q3 2012
• Close Combat: Panthers in the Fog - is to be the last Close Combat game using current engine, with a tentative release set to Q4 of 2012
• the Field of Glory and Battle Academy series will be getting more developments
• Commander: The Great War is coming along nicely, with more specifics to be revealed tomorrow

The meeting also had in attendance: JD McNeil, Director of Slitherine/Matrix Games, Iain McNeil, Director of Development, Daniel Parente presenting Legends of War, and Alex Shargin from the Lordz Games Studio speaking about the newly disclosed Panzer Corps title.

Also announced, and as previously hinted at, was that trademark and rights to the Close Combat series are now secured by Matrix/Slitherine!
