I have the TFTD music converted into MP3s with better sounds ready to use for TFTD. If you are interested I could upload them but I don't know where (20mb)? You could use them with with TFTD extender, that what I did when I had no music
That's what I did Tycho. I get the D3D error only through steam - for both Xcom:UFO and Xcom:TFTD. But it really doesn't matter at all. We don't play Xcom to watch steam count our time played, both games run excellent without steam and that's the whole point. About the D3D error I'm note sure that many others get it. A friend of mine for example can run it through steam without problem, also the error goes away if you disable D3D but we don't want to do that =P
The game still crashed for me with the new patcher. The error is "Application Error XCOM crashed at 0x689B8EFA with error 0xC0000005 trying to access 0x00190194". I find it very odd that it won't crash with the previous patcher.dll. Or maybe it's some funny exception that only happens in my game? I don't know. Is there any point in sharing my savegame? I can't find where to upload it -__-' !EDIT!*: I disabled auto-equip and I don't get the crash anymore if that helps in anyway.
My game crashed when exiting T'leth level 2 and going for level 3 (the last part of the final mission). I replaced patcher.dll with a previous version and it doesn't crash anymore. Maybe there's some sort of conflict with auto equip and multi-level missions? I haven't gotten a chance to test the latest patcher build extensively because I was playing through the final mission. I'm going to replay the game soon and maybe I can give some better input. Enjoy the rest of the summer everyone!
Hmmm it seems saved equipment isn't working after all >_> (double click working fine though). On a side note, the game doesn't seem to recognize the PSX CD in order to play the music. The MP3s work fine. Edit: Sorry I don't want to spam you with requests. The game is fantastically playable as it is right now and your work is greatly appreciated.
The last update works fine in terms of equipment saving and double click movement too. There is something strange that I noticed though. For some reason there are no reaction fire in the game. I tested this extensively after playing a terror mission. Neither my agents nor the aliens react to enemy movement. More Reaction Fire is set to 0 for me, I tested it with value of 1 and the result is the same.
HQ4X works perfectly now. You are amazing - fast response and fast fix too. Thank you very much sir, glad we have people like you improving Xcom games in 2012
