I have a Geoscape save with the battleship at max speed torward my base. I have tried about 7-8 times before giving up. Only one time I succeeded in getting to turn 2. I'll look into UFO:extender

Hi guys. I'm a long time fan of X-com:UFO but today I'm frustrated. The aliens attacked by base again and usually during the first or the second turn the game locks up on me. It always happens during enemy turn. This happens every time no matter what is the base layout. I'm using CE edition on XP SP3. I'm also using Xcomutil 9.7 but I have only one option enabled: Improved heavy laser. Any suggesions guys?
