  1. I did install it from the game disc, but the manual is missing nevertheless. Not found in the game directory, not in the start menu.
  2. Ok, this is getting tricky now. 1. "original database" wtf? I can't find such an option from any of the editor menus. 2. Can't find the editor manual. Not from the cd(or game directory) , neither from web. If you really feel like helping and you use IRC, query a nick Norjen (IRCnet and Rizon) and this'll get a lot easier.
  3. Just there to the next line under the script babble? I though I'd have to write there something that requires some leet skillzor. What about the SQL editor? I downloaded one, but it works with SQL or PRC files, which I can't find in the Silent Storm folders.
  4. I'm playing the axis campaign and I got to the Old Manor mission where you're supposed to find few clues and locate the owner of the manor, this time some agent dude you have to talk to. It just doesn't happen. I take my main hero, go next to him and click, but nothing happens. I don't get any new missions if I don't talk to him, so this is kinda urgent. In a previous mission I wasn't able to talk to a character either, but it wasn't so important then. My PC: AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Radeon 9600 Pro Audigy 2 WinXP Pro SP2 512mb ddr memory I had some weird issues before with the black mission zone borders turning blue and game hanging at the beginning of a mission, but reinstalling fixed them. I have applied the UK version 1.2 patch altough I'm not sure if my game is the UK version, but I don't get any errors whatsoever. Also, how do I open the console window? I've changed the key bindings several times, but it still doesn't work.
  5. Anyone else noticed how easily enemies notice trapped doors and mines after installing this?
  6. Nope. I just think it would be easier for us all if you tried things yourself first and THEN came to ask people for advice. Or at least mention what you've already tried to do to solve the problem, because by that way it would be easier for the helping people to pinpoint what's wrong and get your problems solved more quickly.
  7. I can't agree with that. I had Zinaida to use her sidearm pistol to kill couple renegades who got too close(sniper rifle would've been a risky choice at point-blank range. it doesn't always hit.), and her familiarity with the rifle dropped by one point after I had her fire the first shot from the pistol. The second(and the final) shot however didn't decrease the familiarity anymore.
  8. Some missions require that you make sure no civilians get harmed in any way. That what you said about some civilian picking up a gun and shooting you sounds kinda weird. They've always been just sitting nicely in the ground, and they don't move ANYWHERE, even if you empty a few clips at their way. I think It's a bad thing. They should at least get scared and run like hell away from the scene instead of walking around in my line of fire.
  9. Well, that was nice to know. I really never thought familiarity would have THAT great effects on shooting accuracy. Too bad the familiarity points don't seem to rise very fast. I'm pretty close to the final mission of S², but the familiarity points of my characters arent's still very high. Even my sniper has been using the same weapon for half of the game, but familiarity lies still below 5. It isn't very high on any other characters either, but I've made the use large variety of weapons, mainly because there are situations where SMG's are the number one choice, and situations where pistols do the damage. And of course I've always changed the old bullet sprayer for a better one, and then the familiarity points have to start generating from the start. Let's see what happens when I decide to replay the game.
  10. I don't know, but I would've tried it before asking here....
  11. This might be a bit off-topic, but I'll take the risk. Ok, I'm at the Berger's Factory and having really big trouble with the PK's. The mission that I completed before I went for this one involved getting in to the underground warehouse or something... There were hostile british troops and renegades on the surface, and when I went down to the first level I had to match with more renegade badasses and there were two static machine guns in the hallway. I can't remember the mission's name, but there were like 4 unmanned PK's behind an electric barrier. I disabled the barrier and had a look at the PK's and... lef them there. I couldn't figure out how to get back up to the surface with them, 'cause I thought there's no way they can climb ladders or anything. And I found no switch to operate the lift that I could have used to take the PK's up. I thought if I did something wrong there. Was there actually a way to walk out of the place with the PK's instead of leaving them there? Now I'm having trouble with the Berger's factory because I lack the weaponry to fight the three enemy PK's. The one equipped with lasers came all the way to the frontyard and my tactic was to shoot 'n' hide, because it runs out of ammo very quickly. The other one I sent back downstairs by blowing off the floor below it's feet and the third one lurks somewhere waiting me to walk into it's crosshair... Someone give me a hint what to do? I do have couple of those huge green ray guns, but I can't get close enought to score a sure hit. Again, sorry for the off-topic. I'm in a bit hurry right now. P.S Imagine three guys firing a PK that's out of ammo with MG42's and full auto for a dozen turns or so.... The whole wall behind it was reduced to dust...
  12. Hi, I'm new to this forum and this is my very first post. Wish me luck. I read some threads about engineering skills and lockpicking being a hard task to handle, and I've noticed this myself. But I wonder why I don't get ANY feedback about the lockpicking being failed. The lockpick ring only runs out of lockpicks and nothing, absolutely nothing happens. Not even the character says anything about his poor luck with locks. And I can waste dozens of lockpicks to a single crate/safe/door/etc. Ain't it supposed to turn out succesful at least in my lifetime, no matter even if the required skill isn't very high? And the final question: What's with the steel wires? Can I play Mr. 47 and strangle people with them or what? I suppose they're for setting traps, but I'd appreciate if someone could tell me how. Thank you.
