  1. If you choose the FINAL ATTACK by the sneak option first, you can then clean the whole underground base map totally : with another option, this is not possible. After ENTERING & CLEANING the first map of underground, enter corrider where Vali is, but do not OPEN the door he behind, using armor piercing rocket knock out THE OTHER locked door (which is extremely diffuclt to pick) Watch out, the robot PK will climb up and check immediatelly, so be prepared... Couple catches : 1) I have only found two robot PK down there (where did the rest go ?) 2) the main gate have to use armor piercing rocket to knock down again, but even if it is not there, and you can see soldiers come rush to you, you can still SEE it visually, quite interesting bug, after that, just keep have full version fun... 3) don't damage the staircase too much 4) and..... with this approach, you cannot reach the first map of the other option, which, is the ground level before entering the front gate. enjoy
  2. Just another thinking..... not verified yet. In this mission, two suits of clothes lying on the bed within next room, maybe one can put them on (one for man, another for woman), without too many gears, or none at all, then walk away sucessfully. Didnot success last time, I carried too many weapons (all store in the backpack, though I didn't think about NO GEAR AT ALL at that moment.) Did anyone successfully walk away without blowing out next room's windows ?
  3. And you can throw knife if you want to enhance your THROWING capability...... need patience, too. Oops, if you are not begin with a character who has THROWING as his core stats (low THROWING points at beginning), this will really take almost forever
  4. Hmmm, a question very hard to answer..... don't have the answer, either. SS series has the most strict system for character stats I have ever imagined, maybe some part of the program would chk your stats, when ever it detects some antinomy between your profession and stats interrelationship, the character's stats will cease advance, periodly. The answer for your first question is yes, for a given profession, the max core stats he/she can reach is around his/her level times 10-11, (its just a roughly estimate, don't get too serious), but for his NON CORE stats (especially those VERY UNFAMILIAR stats), maybe only half or so, a level 8 scout can get stealth up to 90 or so, but for snipe shot or auto weapon, up to 40 is extremely difficult. Its learning curve is also very interesting, a level 8 sniper, with 30-40 points on his snipe stat, can improve one point after every shot until 60 or so, (If you had one sniper who didn't get a scoped rifle until level 8, then open his stat table while shooting, you will understand what I mean), then two shots increase a point up to 70, 3 shots a point up to 75, his stat improvement will slow down when closing 80..... And when you upgrade to higher level, the program will improve some of your CORE stats when they are under average.... Kill low level enemies (random encountered) is very hard to improve your character. The improvement on your level bar can show you how much progress your just get when kill a bad guy ! Rgds
  5. In the very first mission, there is a door next to your detention cell, which is locked, you can use knife acquired after killing all bad guys to DESTROY that door (I know sounds rediculous), you can then find an MP 40 in there....... (In hard mode)
  6. For Shade.... check this out.... http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/index...?showtopic=3757 After recruit this guy (When I get him, he is lvl 11.... My main character is lvl 13-14) give him loads of Shuriken, and had him throw, throw, throw, throw, throw........ For Sea Devil.... Its bullets are really something you don't want to carry too much....
  7. Yes, that's it.... In upper conner of the store room which released the 4th BOSS PK, there is a standard door on the wall, the game will be over as you walk in ! Pretty sucks.... As far as I know, negative...... really nothing special in randam encounter, except Mr. Shade. He is a living weapon.....
  8. By the time you saw this msg, it is very likely you had figured it out by yourself already, anyway, extremely busy recently, sorry for the delay. ******* For the "Scoped Energy gun", yes, there is one.... In the final assault, if you choose launch assault from the front gate, after entering the base underground, you should be able to find a gad guy carrying this scope laser weapon in the main tunnel, not very far from the truck. As to entering from the other side, not known yet... Have to warn you, this weapon is powerful, but not that powerful to counter-strike the BOSS PK. For THO PK..... you will need a good sniper, with a powerful scope rifle, with special ability can cause critical strike to enemy..... especially the "bleeding" capability here, stay outside ememy's sight range, then use your sniper nail him, shot after shot, until msg shows the driver begin to bleed, then walk away and wait...... come back couple minutes later and take over that THO PK rgds
  9. Guess what .... From my previous experience, there is a random stage in S2, the enemies in that stage are ALL SCOUTEs with MANY ninja stars which seems endless, I can't understand why until read your opinion about this weapon.... Then, I got Shade in S3, Swiss.... Everything you mentioned about using stars is correct, except it only took him ONE AP TO THROW THE STARS !! Up to my current point, throw those ninja stars cost 0 AP for him............... zero, that's right !
  10. No, not at all, don't think you are "far behind", actually, I myself is just in the progress of BASE DEFENSE, which is, one or two stage after your current progress.... The weapon selection is a little bit diferrent from S2, it looks to me that the weapons in store are one step ahead of what we can get from the field, so I almost never bought any NEW weapon from that dealer, I just wait...... And Sorbicol is right, weapons like 8M1 SHOULD NEVER jump into our sight, it will seriously ruined balance of the game as soon as we had it, but just cannot resist to ask, and, the reason I asked for "best weapon" is trying to put my money on the best choice I can get.... rgds
  11. Sorry to bother you guys, just curious...... but really can't find anywhere else on the internet. 1) Is there somewhere we can find / or buy weapon like Prototype 8M1 in S2 ? 2) or, worse..... can we finally get some weapons deadlier then that alien weapon ? OK, may be not really that alien, but it came with an UFO in S2........ 3) What is is the best weapon in your mind ? Thks
