  1. http://www.s2hq.com/file/FastMod.rar (This can be found in the FILES section of the S2 HQ website, and is by no means my own mod. I use and enjoy it, myself.

    New Mod

I'm very interested in mods/conversions. I would be willing to help graphically, if anyone needs it. I'm not a graphic designer, but I have strong Photoshop/artistic skills. I'd love to do some texturing. I would like to see this game continue to be supported by the community. Any community! Judging by the frequency of posts on this and other boards, it hasn't caught on as well as I think it is deserving of.
  3. I'm confused. Silent Storm is an absolutely fantastic game. True, it has some serious performance issues, but once you find a balance on your machine, it's a great great experience. It appears to me that Silent Storm's forums (Here, on Nival and JoWood) all seem to be almost DEAD. I see forums for terrible games getting hundreds of posts a day. It's really depressing to see such a wonderful game get such a mediocre reception. I've preached the word to all my friends, much of it falling on deaf ears. And I'd really like to see some organization and additions to the MODs for Silent Storm. I'd love to see a site or web-page which has MODs listed thusly: Mod Name Mod Author Mod Date Mod Version Mod Function With the sizes of most minor MODs being very small (within a few Kilobytes), it wouldn't be a huge FTP storage nightmare. Anyone at S2HQ up to the task of cataloging MODs other than here on the forums? A simple page and links to the mods would suffice. It might drum up a bit more interest in this wonderful, but largely-ignored game. Ideas? Comments? I'd be glad to donate some of my time for page design, or whatever. Please contact me at: Jimmus67@hotmail.com!
  4. To break down a door or a chest with a knife or melee weapon: Press A (or the attack icon) Then hold the left (right might work too) CTRL key, while clicking on the item you want to break apart. (Obviously, you must be right next to the item for this to work.) Not sure who to credit for this "hint" or solution, but I read this key combo somewhere and it bore repeating. Now my scout can get into just about anything without using up precious ammunition. Enjoy! JIMMUS

    Own the Game?

Ok, I know the guy is making mods and adding to the community, but this really grates me the wrong way. Oddball_E8 wrote: Now I realize that he may have bought the game by now, but to be making mods with a warez version of the game takes incredible audacity. If you've not done what it appears, Oddball_E8, then I apologize for the misunderstanding.
  6. Hey Topo, that Scrapland has an absolutely killer site, and yours isn't so bad, either!
