  1. Whithout the power of loading saved games I'd be totally naked... ??? But it would be more realistic, and a little bit more frustrating. So I guess I'll keep on loading and salute your merit. Regards, Beef.
  2. Hi guys, here's my problem: Till yesterday when I was saving my game it went to the bottom of the savegame list. Well now the order does not change anymore - the savegames maintain their position in the list, which is REALLY annoying, coz I have to read each savegame's description to find out which was the last one. I remember a topic like this has been posted already, and tried to find it through the forum search feature. Could'nt find it. So maybe some of you guys have a good idea what to do. thx! Beef.
  3. I totally agree with that Sinai - I'd love to have those pop-ups which tells me what my honest scientists just researched. And I really like those interception movies greets, Beef.
  4. Hi, it does not focus that much on building bases. In X-Com you could design your bases, place different facilities and so on. In Ufo:Aftermath you just have four types of bases: Military, Research, Production and Anti-Biomass. You can switch between those four types which takes 24h. Since you got many more bases in U:A than you had in X-Com you can't manage them all in detail. Personally I liked designing my bases on my on more, but hey - it's a new X-Com(-like) game Research and developmend are very much alike X-Com. U:A differs in style from X-Com very much, so maybe you'll be disappointed at first glance as I was. But after playing a while I recognized this game has it's own beauty, but overall it's (imho) not fit to hold a candle to X-Com. Anyway it's great fun. Hope that helps. cya, Beef.
  5. WOW - graphics are really nice now! I'm very impressed since turning on anti-aliasing, even though I was disappointed by the graphics without aa. I did not think it could change so much... regards, Beef
  6. there is no such option. The squad does not have any AI - just puppets cya Beef.
  7. There's a simple solution for this issue: just don't move the whole squad - move em one by one. If one of your guys has already arrived you can pause the game and give him further orders - you don't have to wait for the others to catch up. regards Beef.
  8. I thought U:A would use DirectX rather than OpenGL - this could be a reason Thanks! Beef.
  9. I tried to play UFO-Aftermath with Anti Aliasing (Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9500 PRO, Catalyst 3.8, Win2k SP4, Ufo Aftermath 1.1) but could not see any changes to the graphics. In other games AA works well. Anyone else had this issue? thx guys, Beef.
  10. I'm also very unhappy with the resolution being locked to 1024x768. Furthermore I don't like the graphics too much - imho they are a bit outdated (eg. the Cars). But that doesn't keep me from playing since I am in bad need of a new X-Com game. I was very confused bout the locked resolution since one of the advantages of vector-graphics is that you are able to switch the resolution according to your system specs - low res for low performance - high res - u got the idea. Anyway - Ufo:Aftermath is a great game although it could have been better. I think another half year of development would have made U:A the absolute killer game. Of course I could not stand an additional delay Happy hunting, Beef
