Glad to know I wasn't the only one that, I'm guessing, found the first-person dungeon crawls to be terrifying. I would hate when the camera would quickly flash and pan to the monster. Would scare me s%!tless.
Came across Halfway through reading about it at Rock Paper Shotgun. Described as, "... XCOM’s brand of spooky, dread-dripping turn-based tactics but in spaaaaaaaaaaace..." Looks amazing!! Graphics remind me of Blue Byte's 'Albion'. Thoughts?
Started playing Avernum this week - nice indie-made dungeon RPG game. Has a plot similar to that of Ultima Underworld. Also have engaged with the new(ish) Deus Ex game. Super cool!
I can't even remember what it was. Was it the Stun Grenade with the blue background from the Apoc UFOPedia? Correct I'm great. I have finished uni, landed a full time job, in the process of updating my computer, excited about said new Enemy Unknown remake and things are looking great. The forum looks gorgeous by the way. What's your thought on the pipeline of new X-COM titles?
LPs are the best thing to watch when tucked up in bed! At the moment I'm in rotation between Necro (Legend of Grimrock) and Kiko. As for X-COM LPs, I second (third?) Kiko. He is great for a laugh too...
After 14 or 15 years of owning this game I finally came around to beating the darn thing today and man do I feel happy. I really don't know why it took me so long. I think I'm one of those gamers that when having a break from a game and finally resume playing I find it hard to get back into the groove (so I think I've re-started a Apoc a handful of times). But this time I stuck it out - YAY! I just had to tell someone(s). Oh, and I've been inactive from here for a verrrry long time. I just felt the urge to tell the community about my accomplishment
Save the game. Play until you know when the UFO's arrive. Note the time. Re-load the game. Wait until the time approaches and send the craft to all the portals. BLAM! Cheating? Nah....
