  1. Sorry, just quoting Bruce Banner. Losing the US and it's funding does make me mad at the aliens though!
  2. No Pumpkin, I mean getting your USG oficially published and printed ie. into a hardcopy hold-it in your hands, real life, physical, read it as you go, on the train or on the plane BOOK! I'm sure it will be a hit amongst the X-COM fraternity. I would definitely buy one. I think you've put in alot of good work into it already and it looks v professional to boot. So, how's about it?
  3. Don't make me angry Bomb Bloke. You won't like it when I'm angry!
  4. I'm gonna wait here on the edge of my seat Fullauto until you get back on the opening door without going through it thing. It bugs me so much that you can't just simply open the door!!!!!!

    UFO Music

Thanks BB, Do you know if they made a Original Soundtrack for UFO like they do for alot of games?
  6. On the PSX vers. of UFO is it possible to win back a country that decides to withdraw from funding the x-com project. I heard a rumour that you could but haven't been abla to do this, I'm guessing it's permanent.
  7. Hey Pumpkinhead, I've only just dusted off my XCOM UFO for the PSX and started to play it again. And I have to say I've been finding your guide extremely useful. I think you should add more info into it (flesh it out a bit more) and get it printed (nothing better to have a book in your hand rather than an electronic one). How 'bout it, get it printed once you've finished it?
  8. Thanks Fullauto, but Im also trying to avoid this annoying 'base disjoint bug'. I've experienced this bug before in the past and didn't have the proper weapons to punch a hole through the walls.
  9. Hey NKF, I'm about to dust off my PSX UFO game, load it up and start afresh. With this thread in mind can you confirm that to NOT get any of this base disjoint nonsense it is recommended that I build my Hangers at the southern most point and my modules to the west? What is most strategically advantageous design for a base? Anyone?

    UFO Music

Hey, just noticed this link. Any chance you can e-mail me the music as well please. I agree with the above that UFO has the coolest soundtrack of any game.
  11. I have the PS1 vers. of UFO and on one particular mission I killed all the aliens and left 1 Chrysilid alive. I then got all my men to hover up to level 2 of the battlescape in their flying suits and set them on rection fire. As the final Chrysilid was being shot by my men (with rifles) the alien shot back with what looked like a plasma shot. After killing the alien and examining it, it didn't have any weapons on it. I use this flying method alot gain exp (in reaction fire) and have discovered that other disrmed or unarmed aliens can do the same thing. I can only put it down to 2 things; 1) It has been placed into the game purposely by the programmers so that players don't abuse the exp system. 2) It's a bug in the game!
  12. Hello to the members of this Forum, Wow, I was beginning to think that I was alone in this universe in my fascination with everything X-COM (UFO in particular) until I stumbled across this Forum by accident. The greatest time/resource management and strategy game in my opinion. I've been exploring the forum and I have to say that I like what I see and have learnt a few things about my favourite PS1 game that I didn't know about. Anyway, I've decided to add to the collective with a post of my own; The strangest thing that I have ever encountered in X-COM UFO was once when I was in a downed large scoutship mission against Floaters. For some reason the Floaters in that mission were 'invisible'. When it was the aliens turn the screen would show the aliens movements but I couldn't actually see the aliens. It was only when I used AC Incendiary ammo and set the floaters on fire could I see the flames moving on the invisible aliens when it was there turn. Funny thing was that the game treated the whole thing as normal and my men could still see the aliens to shoot them. I do have quite a few scratches on my disc which I put this discrepancy down to.
