Victor Reijkersz Designs has recently announced Advanced Tactics: Gold a follow-up to Advanced Tactics: World War II that looks to bring expanded possibilities to this operational level turn-based strategy wargame.

 

There are many new features, abilities and incremental changes in the pipeline, with more troop types, new graphics, an amped scenario bank, much faster AI, usage of resources, the addition of alliances, seasons, climates, unit fuel and, last but certainly not least, a vastly improved random game engine.

 

With near limitless replayability and extreme modability being touted, it's almost a wargame construction set, "capable of modeling a wide variety of warfare from modern battles to conflicts in fantasy realms".

 

Sharply advancing for release in a month or two.
