Thorondor
Cortex CommandCortex Command has been fielded. Version 1.0 of Data Realms' long-in-the-making strategy game is finally here to feed your brains with its potent mix of real-time tactical battles and overarching turn-based strategy layer.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6NGBGwtwpk Here's a little background to wrap your synapses around: In the world of Cortex Command, many humans have opted to amputate their entire natural bodies in order to prolong their lives and enable interstellar space travel. Their disembodied brains are hardly helpless, however, as they can remotely control all kinds of machines and craft through artificial interfaces. Playing as one of these people's brains, you can quickly switch control between many different expendable bodies in order to complete otherwise dangerous tasks - all from the physical safety of your command bunker. There's plenty of room to make full use of your smarts, either solo versus the fiendish AI or in multiplayer, with 4-player co-op or against each other and AI. There are built-in editors and you can mod things pretty easily as the engine was reportedly made to be simple to mod from the get go. In case only visual stimuli does it for you, try this extensive . Another sharpish move might be to purchase the game now, as it's currently enjoying a 10% discount in leading digital retailers like GamersGate and Steam.
