XCOM: Enemy Unknown digital version on pre-order! I've pre-ordered, you've pre-ordered, and everyone else can now pre-order this monstrously anticipated Firaxis game through top-tier digital retail outlets.

Here's word from 2K Games:

The time has finally come: you can now pre-order XCOM: Enemy Unknown from any of our various digital retail partners. I know a lot of you have been holding out to pre-order the game from your store of choice, and now it’s possible.

To list the options: Steam, GameStop, Amazon.

GameFly has also been listed as an online distribution partner but currently doesn't seem to have it on catalog.

There was much speculation surrounding what the pre-order bonus on Steam would be, and, as it turns out, it follows a tiered model as detailed on the game's Steam page and as explained here.

Just so you know - like the physical versions, all digital pre-orders get you access to the Elite Soldier Pack.

On another note, and in other pre-order possibilities, there's currently a discount of 25% off at Greenman Gaming and a great price also at TheHut.

We're facing an invasion, so waste not any time and get yourself equipped!
