  1. Not anymore! Now X-com is in fourth! *Cries*
  2. If I remember correctly I think the civillians TU's are 30. (That's an I think there, not sure about this)
  3. Lol, nice job. I really like the animation at the end where it shows who came in first, second and third .
  4. Why is the power suit guy faster than the normal X-com soldier? (Does he have higher TU's because at the point you get power suits your units have more experience or something like that?)
  5. Well, who doesn't use the aliens inventory screen? Am I the only one who does?
  6. Oh, cool, thanks. I guess that's a way to do it.
  7. Well, yeah. I guess you can't really use it normally. But by using bugs in the game it is quite easily possible. (Although once I think about it, I am sort of cheating by using bugs :dontgetit: )
  8. I've had a floater panic and drop a primed grenade on his(Or her) "friends". Of course, this is too simple, I mind controlled him again and made him pick up another grenade and prime it. Then I noticed I was out of TU's so I had to end the turn. I saw (s)he was low on morale before ending the turn though, so I didn't bother controlling him (her) again. And guess what happened? (S)he dropped another again. And hurt his (her) friends again. Personnaly, I found that pretty funny, so I never forgot it .
  9. I'm a very defensive player, and I have a lot of fun doing it . I usually just set up a good defensive position and wait for the enemies to walk into my trap. (Sometimes they don't so I have to move to and secure a new postion, slowly making my way to the enemy's ship )
  10. Hey, nice job. Those are good. (At least the're better than what I can do )
  11. So, what would happen if all the slots were full and you tried to mind control someone? Would it just say 0%?
  12. I have a story which can be percieved as lucky or unlucky, depending on how you look at it. This happened in UFO though, not TFTD. I go to a terror site with 8 units (I always chose 8 for some reason), and for some stupid reason I overwrite my save file right when I land, before checking out anything. So after I finish saving I send my one of my units out of the SKYRANGER, he gets shot by reaction fire, I think "Meh, no big loss" and continue playing. I then send out a second guy, he gets shot as well. Then I send out a third guy, and guess what? He gets shot too. This continues till I am down to two units. In stead of retreating (I never have and I never will ) I stupidly send out my guy with a laser rifle. But, he doesn't get shot, so I walk him off to the left of the ramp and see a cyberdisk, I knew it was my only chance to kill this thing even if my unit died in the process so I chose to do an "autoshot" and all three shots hit, the cyberdisk then proceeds to explode. KABOOM! Then I see another explosion a couple of squares away, "There must have been an undetected cyberdisk there" I think. But then I see another explosion and another and another etc. This continues until I count 7 explosions in total (My unit wasn't even killed), meaning there were 7 cyberdisks, no wonder almost all my units got shot by reaction fire! Then I hit end turn, and suddenly I won! Apparently the only things there were my units and the cyberdisks (I didn't get any points for civillians though, I wonder who I was trying to save :hmmm: ) That's my tale, I really think that was a lucky occurance though, I have never seen that many cyberdisks packed together before (Or after for that matter) :dontgetit: .
  13. I noticed you said civillians died. I think that's the reason, I'm almost sure units lose moral if they shoot a civillian and I think that they lose moral if an alien shoots a civillian as well. So, if I'm correct that's the reason the Coalanth lost moral.
  14. Yes, I've had that happen too, it seems that civillians killed by cyberdisks exploding do not count towards the end of the mission. Nor does it count when a civillian dies because an alien threw a grenade at him/her that you primed (Like when the mind control wears off but they still have a grenade that you primed). They just sort of disapear at the end of the mission.
