Sword of the Stars: Ultimate collection for 9,95€!!!

Seriously, that is cheap as dirt and if you don't take the offer, you never will.

Just for the info; SotS:UC has SotS, Born of Blood and A Murder of Crows. Which means that it only lacks Argos Naval Yard that is cheap anyway.

Argos Naval Yard is basically pack with a lot of new toys, so UC has all the functionality SotS has to offer.

Now I'm sorry that our review is not out yet, but expect it soon!

Not that I'd expect anything from YOU guys, you bunch o' cheap I-love-strategy-games-pretenders, but I'll post this anyway...

That is CHEAP AS DIRT for (bias) the best space strategy game available. Even Thorondor should buy this immediately, but he won't.  ;)

What are they going to call it when they include ANY?  It's obviously not the 'ultimate' collection if there's something missing...

I can almost see the sticker too: Ultimate Collection "The Missing version"...

Sword of the Stars Complete Collection

It is pretty logical when you think of it, really. SotS with BoB and AMoC is an already ultimate space strategy, with ANY it became complete.  ;)

Ok, ok, nobody expected another expansion, hence the confusion. Success made them do another one just to add a lot of things fans wanted.

Anyway, with or without ANY the game is HUGELY worth the incredibly low price. When I go to drive go-cart I spend 30€ for half an hour. So far I spent A LOT of hours playing SotS for less than that.

I still have go-cart planned, naturally. For next year.

Best possible deal on this?

SoTS Complete is 27 on GG.

I can get SoTS for about 4, BoB 8, and AMoC 6.  That's 18.

How much is ANY?  I can see it for 6.99 on GG, 6.95 on D2D...is it DL-only by any chance?

It is DL-only. It is not necessary though. So far the only ANY-only thing you have seen in my AARs were impactors. Although there are some VERY cool thingies inside.

Just be careful with the compatibility. If you go for whole-DL (as I did as I decided I don't like boxes any more) only buy at one provider. I recommend GG as you can burn installations if you want to. And write the keys on the discs.

What, have I talked you into getting the game?!  :D

EDIT; you can wait for a special offer though. I bought Ultimate + ANY for about 15€ both. So now I have like three versions of the game... Who knows when a special offer comes around but with SotS actions used to be pretty frequent.

Looks that way!  :D

Ah-ha!  Found the Ultimate Collection for 7!  That's SoTS, BoB and AMoC, right?

So got those three on disk, then I'll DL ANY for 7.  14 altogether.  Not too shabby at all, almost half what GG are asking.

At that price, how can I say no...

BUY BUY BUY!!!

Just be careful on the compatibility. I think any version of ANY is compatible with boxed versions but I can only guarantee for GG. And I definitely HATE, absolutely HAAATE Steam with its on-line system.

Ask Thorondor. He knows the answer.  :D Kidding Thorondor, this is definitely not a game that everybody would be willing to play. I just happen to be completely in love with it.

Ultimate Collection en route!

It's only about 10 here now in the UK, which is pretty good.

Now to get ANY.  I might try Direct2Drive, save myself four pence...

You're doing the next AAR!  :D

Do yourself a favour and read the manual and watch tutorial movies. This will ease the game for you immensely.

Ta muchly.  I checked the back of an Ultimate Collection box in town after work, and it said 1GB.  Which I doubt.
