What is more important? Panic level or money ? No one smart enough would send satellite early to get that extra cash because it could turn out that they will lose that country no matter what.

Life is a risk. Either deploy early and possibly get a reward (it can be over a safe country) or wait until the end of the month, be safe and not get the reward. Happy?

Why, when I would be able to do exactly as you can at present? It would be a bonus...

EDIT: Sorbicol reminded me of a think that bothers me; I'd like to be able to make alloys.

A bonus non existent on impossible and early stage of classic.

All that suggestions point to simplify the game. They don't call them alien alloys for nothing.

Why not add Fart gun and kill those aliens with bad air. :P

Hmmmm, chemical weapons sounds just the thing to use against aliens...

Everything you use late game is alien in origin, yet you're unable to create the material you're making everything from... Sounds unlikely, but you are correct that this would simplify the game and remove an important gameplay element.

Well Ufopedia (or XCOM Database as it is called now) says that the materials are used from elements that don't exist on our planet and to create a perfect synthetic counterpart wouldn't be that easy in the current conditions. This is war time and every equipment is copied or modified and that is simple task.

I'd like to have an ability to break the weapons down into fragments and those into alloys.

Add SHIVs to that list.
