Forget mud and gloom, here's an update for the platoon. We just caught a carrier pigeon who had somehow gone astray and the message we have from High Command at Battlefront.com is a cheery one regarding their Strategic Command - WWI Breakthrough!
Patch 1.01 has certainly made it through and here's what it brings:
• Significant reworking of the 1918 Ludendorff Offensive and Russian Civil War campaigns, with numerous enhancements to all the other campaigns.
• Improved Windows 8 compatibility
• and as a festive treat, the 1939 Storm over Europe campaign is now included for Breakthrough!, having been extensively edited to improve game play and balance.
Two AARs to underline the advancements made have also been fielded by their beta team:
Bill Runacre and Jim Potts are refighting the 1916 German East Africa campaign, while Alastair Anderson will be attempting to halt Michael Kollmann's 1918 Ludendorff Offensive. Will Paris fall to the Germans, or will General Pershing's US army save the day?
