  1. well, as i said before with 4 difficulty u can't just build as much bases as u wish. with constant shortage of everything, medical labs and factories r unnecessary and expensive waste of resources. u may (easily) beat whole game without it. as far as i'm concerned, this -is- nuisance! btw i have an idea! is it possible to add every hostile unarmed creature a small backpack (like 5x2 cells) and with some small chance put there a random item? so after missions here and there u will get some random loot! yay!
  2. hey there people, hey Okim! i wonder is there any updates coming? finished my super hero difficulty game a week ago, but i feel like i want some more Aftershock! playing 4 difficulty i've noticed one interesting thing - lots of bases r extremely unprofitable. so u can't even build any roads without purpose. i think that rising cost of buildings (not maintain!) and production would make game even more challenging. i don't think it would make much difference with other difficulties. so it shouldn't disturb other good comrades. also it'd be great if medical stuff would be more vital. how about consumable ammunition for medikits?
  3. hey Okim! i wonder is it possible to make the additional slot for weapon modifications (near the under-barrel slot). actually i'm thinking about weapon magazines with different capacity and reload speed. for example: 5.56 C-Mags, doubled magazines (with tape or clips), different size belt containers for MGs, drum AK magazines, etc. for some reason i'm sure it's impossible, but i rather ask. p.s. i think silencers r quite useless...
  4. wow! it's a great news! thanks a lot for reducing accuracy of cal.50 MGs, it was a real pain in the arse! anyway, i'm here because there's something that bothers me. it's cultists. i've started a new game with IV difficulty about two weeks ago. well, i've managed to survive thru ammo insufficiency. i've already conquered whole Europe, most of Africa and about a quarter of Russia... and i've faced cultists on the battlefield only 2 times so far. it's kinda strange that they still have only 6-7 sectors scattered all over the world unreachable for me, and they don't even trying to expand their territory... is there any way to make them more active? honestly it's so boring when nobody dares to try to kick ur arse. comparing to X-COM 1 and 2 this game has serious flaw in global map part of the game. i wish it was harder to make friends among factions, like in civilization or so. i wish factions, mutants and reticulans could attack your sectors like cultists do. btw playing IV difficulty makes unreasonable, even stupid to fight with other factions due to constant lack of resources. so it's almost impossible to get firearms before the fight with cultists... is there a way to add some armed humanoid bandits as enemy faction, i mean like mutants and reticulans?
  5. don't forget about brainmen, they r useless too. they don't fit into doorways, they r slow and have not much hp.
  6. wow. that's funny i didn't noticed it yet. probably that's b'cuz i play human faction only. nevermind. hey that's a smart move! i'd be grateful if i give some more tips and tactics for ur mod. i'm sure there's a lot more tricks we can learn from u. btw what's wrong with flatsters? they r capable to shoot from any distance, but with zero chance to hit.
  7. i wonder is it possible to make exploding bullets? u know like anti-tank rifle ammo - projectiles, that fly like ordinary ammo and bang like mini-grenades on hit (but without grenade knockback ability). it would be fantastic to see Soviet PTRS-41 Anti-Tank Rifle and KPV-14.5 Heavy Machinegun. oh yeah! Wargot Apocalypse is now. hey Okim! if it's not a secret r u planning to make new armours?
  8. it could be. i don't think that game gives any sufficient explanation of what really happened. i didn't bothered myself to look for an answer elsewhere. at the early researches it said that both ships are quite similar, but the 'new Laputa' is more advanced then the 'old Laputa'. would u call a passenger liner and a battle cruiser with the same name? it should be same class or same model ship which is more likely. as far as i remember the new Laputa has cannons and stuff (we tried to shoot down the Wargot mothership in vain, didn't we?). so it is a military vessel. btw i'm not sure if even three dozens of Laputas could have enough capacity for entire Earth's population, not to mention that we had only one. therefore i incline to theory of lost war.
  9. whoa, whoa, hold on. isn't Labuta a reticulan space craft? i don't remember the whole story, but the old Laputa was found buried on the Earth in UFO:AM. it was used by humans to escape form raging biomass. the rest of the story u may watch in UFO:AS intro - the old Laputa was destroyed and the new one was found on the Earth's orbit. if there's a reticulan lab with reticulan library, it could have a small reticulan factory too. it's a military vessel after all.
  10. hello Okim! back to these days i played UFO:AS with ShadoWarrior's mods i remember that there was a certain reason why it was impossible to beat super hero difficulty - too tough start. a lot of enemies with a lot of hp and the great lack of ammo for ret. weapons. it tooks like superhuman efforts to go through it and even greater to survive first skirmish with the cultists. therefore i'd like to ask is it possible to make 'Laputa Factory' (like 'Laputa Lab') to produce reticulan stuff?
  11. since i don't know anything about game mechanics i wouldn't make any suggestions. hope u'll keep looking for way out of this situation form time to time. btw i think FAMAS is too loud. sometimes it even makes me jump up of suddenness...
