  1. apparently this is a known bug So alien doing an impossible flank thats the buggy xcom baby
  2. to explain yes i'm talking about the active alien you can see and the currently selected soldier moving to the selected cover so no second alien with the alien moving to the green pod show in the pic and somehow that results in flanking ?? i wish i had saved so i could reload and tried to find out why that happened when the aliens flank me normally i'm annoyed but its fair

I've read the online guides about cover and its fine most of the time but i've still had some wierd events like in the picture below i've had my unit move into full cover but on a different map http://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/xcom-enemy-unknown/thumb/d/d5/Coveragain.png/468px-Coveragain.png in the alien turn the alien was in a moved behind the glowing abduction pod and it counted as flanking my guy why? i'm in full cover there that position should not be flanking

  5. Since i dont have access to my PC right now i'm having to wait until i can play the New Xcom. Only have old laptop That in mind i felt like playing some i Chryssalid terrors missions to get my xcom fix until then any difficulty , it would be good if the save is before the skyranger lifts off so i can custom my load out
  6. i done a bit of research and rumor has it that due to a programing bug the aliens actually don't know where russia is so they cannot do the iniltrate mission there

Which funding nation has the highest chance to sign a pact with the aliens Feel free to think cowardly remarks about a country you do not like I know Russia never gives up and never surrenders....... In soviet russia Love the Russias I've noticed in a couple of games Australia signs a pact but this might have to do with setup of xcom bases in europe and USA which are out of range of Australia.
  8. another tactic i could use is to put the body in the triton and then guard it with a tank to block its escape since the upgraded version armour is so thick deep ones can not hurt it, not sure about lobsters melee attack . I would have to make sure it used up its time units as not to reaction fire,

  10. might be one of those ultra rare events, if the ufo crashed near a farm house the game might decide to include some civilians, it would actually make some sense but Snake man terror missions HOW MANY BUGS !!!

Silencer to answer your question no aliens wake up on THEIR turn in the first two games This means they wake up and start attacking you I surpose i could shot them with weak weapons then stun them, since they have less health that might keep them under longer. it would loose me points but on the first gill man terror site, stunning 1 deep one and grabbing one deep one corpse might be the way to go i was just thinking if i can find a spot on the map were a unit cannot move and throw the stunned unit there, it might serve as a 'cell' until i stun them at the end of the battle after shooting a path to reach them . Hard to do but possible hopefully i'll have stun bombs by the time i meet lobsters but since i'm on superhuman they might show up early still using the PD grenade on them might work well since they resist the damage With PD grenade trouble is in TFTD all grenades have high armour , i could try the upgraded high explosive 200 damage see if thats kills it In TFTD the aliens do not charge out of the USO on turn 21

Computer died so having to restart again, this time playing on superhuman or depending how i go I did try to search for answers but its hard not knowing the 'exact' search string How to keep aliens like deep one and lobsterman stunned (since they have a built in attack) on long missions when i don't have stun bombs only stun sticks How to deal with armed PD grenades for example outside uso sub door , i'm using the patched version so the save quit method does not work and i don't have flying armour its the start of the game

  14. i was kind of curious what happens if you don't go on the final mission and just keep playing does the aliens start sending only battleships and only mutons and etherals while you could build a huge amount of bases you might lose a few countries due to infiltration whats the longest game you have played and what was it like at the end off topic but on the playstation version of xcom did they fix the easy difficulty bug
  15. problem seems to have fixed itself after i activated then deactivated the alarm i've had the bars up and down before that did nothing , strange
