  1. not me lol at the start i give everyone a stun grappler and if you run out of ammo you just use that . later i use the powersword now that rocks.
  2. paying for a turn based game with no kind of Utima Online experiences... lol! i would pay if the game was 'online' and you fought over a world where you send squads around the whole multiplayer world and enteracted with people and killed them kept experience and money so you can buy weapons in shops etc. but noo damn jippo company. just like sony and there game infantry, was good untill they made us pay bah.
  3. i forgot what site it was which tells me what organisations give you what or certain bonuses... for example the mutant alliance gives you more mutants to buy...and maybe that psi weapon (forgot)... but i need the rest of the organisations stats because it be intresting and i can see whos most important for my stategy in the next coming game.
  4. brainsuckers dont get a chance. they get shot off your head before they can suck out your brains out and most of the time it fails.
  5. all i can say is if you get hit by one of those weapons make your guy drop every single bit of his equipment unless you want those votex mines to go of prematurely lol. first time i got hit by that weapon i laughed as it did no damage... then boom.. my whole team died because a mine got desolved lol.
  6. i still yet have to see a overspawn i have competed this game like 10 times at superhuman but no sign of one... think its because i don't give those motherships a chance to deploy the alien...
  7. i been playing x-com again and i found out hoverbikes are really useful in massive swarms. they got so much moveabilty that its very rare that they get hit... right now i took out a battleship with 12 hoverbikes with plasma and none of the got hit while my otherships where in the dimention. so thats my most used ship through out the game. cheap and expendable yet they hardly get hit and by the end of the game i have around 40 of them. there also good at wasting UFO weapons at attacking a hoverbike which can dodge pretty easily while something like a hawk which is a easy target can take out the UFO without worrying about getting hit.
  8. my rookies are treated like the commander they are all equiped with the same equipment and are sent in battle the same.

At the beginning my tactics are as follows: BASE PLACEMENT: i put mine in north Africa. mainly because if a UFO crashes you get desert terrain so there be no annoying farm houses. also so its close to europe so you can protect more countries. CONSTRUCTION: I build the following... Lab Personal quarters 2x Stores Alien containment Large Rader Buy/Sell: i sell the following... everything apart from... Rifle + ammo Grenades Avalanch missiles + launchers stinger missiles + launchers buy: personal: 4 soldiers 15 sciencists 3 engineers equipment: 6 rifles + 30 ammo 20 grenades 14 stun rods. Missions: Your missions should be easy because of the desert and large land span so hardly any will crash in water. when you do missions and win keep all the following... Heavy plasma + clip E-115 alien alloys Navigation alien grenade the rest of the alien equipment just sell. keep heavy plasma and when you get around 10 in your stores start researching it (i research it in 1st month dont even bother is laser because i can do first terrorsite with rifles). Research in this order: 1) Laser--- laser pistol---laser rifle---alien alloys---personal armor---heavy plasma---heavy plasma clip. UFOS: At the beginning your ship can take down small-medium dont even attempt large ships until plasma cannons or fusion. once buildings are compelete buy 75 more sciencists and 20 more enginners and 1 extra personal quarters.(this be somewhere at the end of the first month after the terrorsite when u get alot of sellable equipment). !and try and get an sectoid (squad)Leader from a small ufo this way you can get psi lab in first month!
  10. also if i could remember if you saved the game then loaded it back up your soldiers some times change different skin colour and hair sometimes your men become women lol. yeh i know there was no night missions in amegia version as thats the first thing i noticed when i got the PC one. also terror missions were easyer as some times the level use to have no buildings on it . it was like plain grassland with just some road. i liked that alot .

    My dad brought x-com enemy unknown on the AMEGIA CD-32 for me when i was 6 but i was scared of playing it lmao. Anyway when i was 9 when i got my PC i got X-com collection for my birthday so i got all the games .
  12. its because his been playing on beginniner... you hardly meet any of the tough aliens on there. but on super human you can meet snakeman + cysialid on the 2nd month or 3rd.
  13. try this challange which i am attempting... <<<HARDCORE CHALLANGE>>> 0) Human weapons allowed only 1)difficulty must be set on superhuman 2) No techs allowed. only the tech tree to get to cydonia is allowed. 3) No tanks allowed 4) No reloading 5) No armor allowed 6)No extra bases allowed 7) No new sciencists or enginniers allowed and once i compelte that heh an evil challange is aviliable... <<<mission impossible>>> 1) All of above 2) No new soldiers allowed 3) No new human weapons to buy. only ammo. 4) Must compelete game before August.
  14. this is nothing new as i done that already as you probaly noticed when i was talking about killing cryaslids with human weapons. also this challange is like not hardcore evil as the one i tried as you can have personal armor and tanks in your challange. i done it with none of that but tanks and now im trying without tanks... lol gonna be hard when i meet the mutons but..
  15. Like to know What you do when about to enter a UFO. Tin Opener :- {must have fly armour & Blaster Bomb} Fire a BB right on top of the UFO, Blowing the whole roof off allowing your Fly boys to jump in right on top of the aliens. [tactic works well on all UFOs] Crash,Bang and Clear :- {requires Nades} This tactic is rather like what the SWAT use. Crash,bang and clear is when you have atlest 2-3 soldiers 1 facing the alien door at the front and 2 soldiers facing the door on the sides. each soldier has light equipment and nades make sure the turn before entering the UFO you prime the nades to 0. When you bust your way into the UFO with all your guys throw your nades equaly spread out so you got a much bigger radius explosions once you done shoot at any aliens not near the nades you dropped to make sure all aliens in room are killed. You repeat this in every big room, small rooms will require around 1 nade. Knock Knock :- { only good in small-medium ships } This is same as crash bang and clear at the beginning but when you enter the alien ship after you shot a couple of times you retreat outside again and if an alien comes out of the door to try to counter attack you have your whole force waiting there to shoot in enemy turn. you do this every turn until the aliens die. This is the safest way to winning a UFO mission as your using the ufos door at your advantage. as i said its only good for ships with 1-2 rooms. Other :- Please tell me!
