Anyone know a website where someone is likely to know?

It's a Samsung LE40M86BD. It's not that it cannot handle low resolutions full stop. Just not in PC mode over HDMI (the only way I will have the PC connected because other options are crap). 640x480 is too low unfortunately, the minimum it will accept is 800x600. I've tried changing the referesh rates but they don't help in this matter.

OK, I've found out that my TV can't handle low resolutions so this is definitely the issue. I had the same problem with ScummVM running old Lucasarts games. But I can get around it with this programme by enabling scaling which doubles the resolution. Any such ability to do this with TFTD?

Thanks for the suggestion but I find it too tricky to get it running properly in DOS Box. I have the special edition version of this game and fixes to make it run properly in XP. Is there a way to achieve what I want with this one?

Hey again fellas! Went to play TFTD on my new TV yesterday but it won't accept the resolution. My old TV scaled it and worked fine. On my new one the picture vibrates violently up and down and there is a multi-coloured line of fuzz at the very top. So basically I need to customise the resolution, ideally to my screen's native 1920x1080. Anyone know how, if indeed it is possible?

Thanks for the tips! If you don't recover the USOs you shoot down though, won't this negatively effect your funding? When I played through and completed EU, I had lost about half the nations' funding even though I completed every mission and had bases all over the world running very efficiently. I didn't need the money but didn't want to lose due to having zero funding. I was indeed aware of the research bug and thought I had walked into it but it turns out I'm OK! (I think! :o)

I checked and you were right - I had already researched it! Upon clicking it I knew the picture but thought it was something else. As far as I remember I did research IBA and plastic aqua armour before the live deep one. So should I be OK?

I was really enjoying TTFD at first but now it's always the same. Send sub in with the same equipment, kill all aliens (usually Aquatoids or Gillmen) and then repeat the process again and again... Somehow EU seemed to be a lot more varied, and not just visually. I don't want to abandon the game as I've come quite far and would feel that all the time had been wasted unless I complete it. So I would like to know some tips for getting to the final mission more rapidly. So far my only solution has been to mass scientists and research everything ASAP.

Hey guys! First time poster here... I've played a fair way into TTFD. I've been made aware of a research bug and I think I've got it. I have a number of Ion Beam Accelerators but cannot research them... How do I get around this bug? :S
