  1. Some of the ALPine plug-ins are indeed great. I
  2. UFO:AM STFU Mod Description ----------- This modification mutes some excessively repeated exclamations of all soldiers: Generic Confirmation ("Yes, Sir") Move Confirmation ("Forward, Sir") Plan Completed ("What next, Sir?") Selection ("Your orders, Sir?") Installation ------------ Copy the "mod_OC_stfu.vfs" file into your <UFO:AM home> directory. Note: It's safe to install this modification anytime. Uninstallation -------------- Remove the "mod_OC_stfu.vfs" file from your <UFO:AM home> directory. Note: It's safe to uninstall this modification anytime. Changed files ------------- share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_completion_plancompleted__00.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_completion_plancompleted__01.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_confirmation_generic__00.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_confirmation_generic__01.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_confirmation_generic__02.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_confirmation_move__00.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_confirmation_move__01.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_selection_generic__00.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_selection_generic__01.wav share\sound\wavs\exclamations\*_selection_generic__02.wav All other modifications including the mentioned files aren't compatible to this one. 3. This modification is at least compatible to the Combo-Mod, Rebalance Mod, and other ones at the StrategyCore Mod-Download section. I don't know about all the Alpine plug-ins but if they don't mentioned something about attributes/skills or training changes, then all should work together with this mod.
  4. UFO:AM Skills & Training Mod Description ----------- This modification changes skill influence of attributes and training related stats. Please check the readme file included in the archive for detailed info what has been exactly changed! Makes no sense to post this here due to table format issues. My readme text-files are best viewed with MS notepad/editor and fixedsys font. Installation ------------ Copy the "mod_OC_skillstraining.vfs" file into your <UFO:AM home> directory. Note: It's safe to install this modification anytime but expect drastic skill changes! Uninstallation -------------- Remove the "mod_OC_skillstraining.vfs" file from your <UFO:AM home> directory. Note: It's safe to uninstall this modification anytime but expect drastic skill changes! Changed files ------------- tactical\configs\game\listofskills.txt tactical\configs\game\listoftrain.txt All other modifications including the mentioned files aren't compatible to this one. 5. With already three UFO titles, it becomes hard to distinguish modification topics in a single forum for which title they are about. Some users even forget to mention about which title they are talking about. Why not creating a mod-forum for each title? I bet there are still a bunch of people out there who like to talk about or modify once in a while one of the older titles too. The "Mod Releases" forum could be merged into the title-specific mod forums then; the guides pinned on top or in a further subforum. After a title-separation, the overview of the releases should still be guaranteed. A mod overview can still also offer the file section of this splendid site. Even if these title-specific mod forums will contain only handful topics then, at least you know where you are then. Each title is a game for itself. It's all about topic quality, not quantity, you know! A mod forum seperation for the other game titles, like the Silent Storm series, can't hurt either. Although the modding techniques are the same, each title has its own issues and should deserve its own forum.
  6. Maybe I should have posted this in the Mod Releases forum. Oh well, throw around my topic as you please.
  7. UFO:AM Skip Intros Description ----------- This modification skips the Cenega and the two other intro clips when starting the game. Credits go to NonStop for copying the method of the UFO:AS intro skip mods. Installation ------------ Copy the "mod_OC_skipintros.vfs" file into your <UFO:AM home> directory. Note: It's safe to install this modification anytime. Uninstallation -------------- Remove the "mod_OC_skipintros.vfs" file from your <UFO:AM home> directory. Note: It's safe to uninstall this modification anytime.
