Turn the soldiers mode to aggressive to avoid them running around during alien turn. That makes them just do reaction shots. I play in either mode... depending on my mood. If I don't feel like taking the time to do turn based, I go real time.

I haven't really done much since the mid 90s, but I used to be a pixel artist... if that's of interest. I might want to help with the story writing, and playtesting.

This one looks extremely promising, let's hope the game is a good one. I've read mostly bad things about UFO:Aftermath, and UFO:Alien Invasion will not have plastic* enviroment, which this one apparently will. It's one of the main 3 points they put up about their game on the website at least, so I bloody well hope so. *plastic = destructable. And another very promising thing is that they claim to have experts with degrees in robotics writing AI. Looks like the best rip-off yet.

As in the topic description: My problem is that although the game runs fine(though oddly slow, considering I'm on an athlon XP2800...) there is no sound. I even tried using VDMSound but that just creates a lot of static. Also setup.exe will just open a dos window but nothing happens.

Hmm, if I was to edit any one weapon in TFTD, it would definately be the dart pistol, improving it to match the pistol in UFO, which really is a nice weapon. Apart from that... maybe removing water-only from a weapon or two :angel:

I recently completed the Area51 mission, how far....plotwise have I come now? I'v read about a Russian-mission..is that the next step or?

I see pleople talk about diffrent modes, how do you change it? I can't find any options
