  1. Here is a special moment being shared between a matriarch and Rita. http://img186.imageshack.us/my.php?image=r...hshareaspf0.jpg Yes, i like the melee!
  2. I didnt find much use for the first stimulants, but the advanced medipacks were crucial; sometimes one lucky beastman would paralyze several soldiers. And paralyze means death Also by the time i got the superstimulants, I kinda had all the stats maxed out anyway. I suppose they arent much use on medium difficulty, or that i was unable to use them properly. Now that I think of it, they probably are good for training new characters.
  3. 1) Units are pulled out of training when they have to visit the hospital. I'm assuming this is because they have to physically to be at a different place. By default the game automatically sends damaged units there. When they return they do not start training again. 2) I've had a similar problem, which was due to the civil engineering being scrolled to the right little. So I actually had 4 people there, but it was only showing the last two (as civil engineering can have more than four people in it; just like residental section), then i just kept dropping the two that were allready there, on the civil engineering tab over and over again.. try dragging the little bar underneath the faces, or check from their profile where they actually are working at.
  4. 2. Not sure what you are driving at there. Are you talking about enemy units? Im assuming you ment this with number two. I will elaborate. Say its one of those "kill all units with a arrow sitting on their heads" missions. And there is 3 spiders that need to be killed. So obviously when the spiders come charging in, I would target the closest one, and then when it falls unconcious I target the nearest concious unit, and so on. This means that if the spiders are coming in a straight line towards me, the odds are that they drop near the same spot, sometimes perfectly on top of eachother. Ofcourse as enemy units cant push through eachother, unless they are dead, it does require for the first unit to die, and then for the second one to fall unconcious at the same spot. After that its only possible to kill the topmost one of them, its not possible to target the ones under him, even if they show up on radar as red dots. I've tried attacking the ground, but that doesnt help. I've even shot the ground with rockets without any effect at times, only dropping dynamite right on top of that pile allways damages them. And this reminds me, sometimes I've had enemy units falling unconcious underneath the floor, so its impossible to shoot at them.
  5. There are expedition bases ? I just attacked the three spots they made when they landed, and then went straight to the big base they had. Even the mainbase fight was outdoor one for me, which i really thought was peculiar... And no, they do not require visibility to take control. My top requests for a patch would include patches to the AI in general. It priorities killing players units over winning fights. Its just bad tactics to shoot unconcious\paralyzed enemies while there are concious ones in range. This leads to "unnecessary" reloads over and over again, and these loads take several minutes each. Also its a bit stupid that enemies automatically known the most vulnerable target for their guns. Or that they constantly use area effect weapons point blank, killing several of their own in the process.
  6. Thats strange, I just completed my game with a lesser card than yours, 9600 pro.. I'm probably using older drivers too as I havent really been updating them lately.. Im running with "Optimal Performance" settings, as it has been said that using AA from the cards drivers would not work well afterlight..
  7. I've also noticed bad delays in the geosphere, mostly late in the game, when moving the cursor on the sphere it takes a second for the borders to appear, also while turning the sphere choppyness is noticeable. This didnt happen early in the game at all, and even late it doesnt happen just after starting the game, only after playing few missions. So its definetely the game.
  8. I've had several different crash bugs. One whines about allocating memory. One whines about the virtual filesystem. And ofcourse the normal "windows crash". As far as bugs go, sometimes the portraits in the inventory screen overlap when in tactical missions, and its impossible to access the inventories of certain characters. I'm not sure if its a bug, but if a uncouncious unit is covered by an dead unit in the same spot in the same facing, i've yet to find a way to target it. Had to start carrying dynamite to deal with those. And if the AI is "working as intended" it stands for "Artificial Idiocy". Sometimes it just freezes. Same goes for the visibility. It has to be broken considering some of the inconsistencies.
  9. Granades are great, atleast on medium difficulty explosion allways makes them fall down. Which also breaks any mind controlling, and best of all, it makes so much damage that many of the psi units change to healing devices instead. That generally gives enough time take them all out, and most of all nerfs their offensive abilities down to nothing. I've had to abort two missions due to a maps that gave them such insane advantage that my whole team was mindcontrolled before I was able do anything. One involved literally 20 reticulans on a ledge, another one involved 3 psi units in a tower like building that takes something like 50 seconds to climb up to.
