Invisigoth

Heya. Need to know how to use Drones. I equip the defensive drone with Tracks but when I move the drone to the selected soldiers box the drone disappears. It doesn't get included and It's no longer in the devices section? Any idea what is up? Does it seem more like a bug or am I doing something wrong?? Thanks
