  1. They do point to the same file... but it still just opens a blank ie page.

  3. Now it opens a nice little box telling me that my file should be downloading... But i always get a page with this address, and nothing appens... http://www.ufoaftermath.co.uk/aftermath/do...ToAftermath.zip :hmmm: I want to see the movie I'll keep trying all day
  4. I'm sure the video is very good... but i can't seem to download it I click on the link and i go to a blank page...

  6. The movie is 21MB... if you want i can send it to you in 4 - 5Mb files. Just say the word (and mail adress) and i'll send it. Offer available this week only, because after this friday i'm off to a 3 week vacation
  7. Well... :hmmm: i don't know... Of course number 2!!!
  8. No problem Kiwi, i was going to post the rest of the interview today but... you beat me to it
  9. Here it is, the possible translation (for me) from the interview in: www.jdejuegos.com After reading all the information available on the game, in the Website and in the press releases, we noticed several details were omitted or were incomplete, for that reason the answers to the present interview were left to the responsibility of ALTAR Interactive public relations, Jiri Rydl, with the support of the team developing the game. The interview was rather large but it also presents many interesting things not detailed before, the redundant questions/answers were removed, some related questions have been united. About the Graphics Engine: J de Juegos: Will the engine have climate effects? Hour of day/night? Jiri Rydl: Yes. The engine supports climate effects like Snow and Rain, like it will present/display scenes/scenarios with appropriate illumination according to if it's a day or night mission. JdJ: Will the user be able to destroy objects and structures of the scenes? JR: Yes, the surroundings are deformable (destructable): walls, fences, edges, boxes, etc. can be destroyed piece by piece. Any structure with a ceiling collapses like a whole. What it happens to an alien trapped inside is easy to imagine. JdJ: Will the weapons be affected by the material they shoot through? For example can you shoot through a wood wall, but not through one of concrete? JR: Each material has a value we denominated "bulletproof resistance" (bulletproofness). Although that would be 100% for an armor of five inches (about 12.5 cm), a wood board\wall would have 10%. When shooting to something or somebody, the combined value of all the obstacles is taken into account. JdJ: There will be gamma correction? JR: Yes, the game will have gamma correction (brightness, contrast). JdJ: What can you say on the sound system, will it have something special? JR: We are using dynamic sound with 3D positioning, we have to admit that at the moment this system is considered standard in todays games. JdJ: What special --visual-- effects can we expect in the game? (besides explosions). JR: Besides explosions, , there will be special mutant attacks, lighting effects in dark areas or night-time missions, death animations and much more. However the greatest, and most atractive, visual effect will be the Director's Cut - a replay mode that will allow to observe the most interesting moments through a camera -- with movements -- like in a movie. JdJ: This camera angle is fixed, or is it free, will we be able to rotate it, zoom lens in/out, incline the angle of view? JR: Yes, all of the above, that is to say, the camera can be moved, rotated, zoom lens and be inclined. Although zoom lens and inclination are linked, for that reason to zoom in/zoom out changes itself the angle of the camera and vice versa. Also there is a defined limit for the maximum and minimum angle it can take. JdJ: It will have Software Rendering? JR: Software Rendering? Like in Quake? I'm afraid not. The minimum requirement is to be a GeForce 1 with 16MB of memory, or equivalent.
  10. The first part about the Graphics Engine is almost complete... just some minor changes... The second part, is a little bigger, so maybe just tomorrow.
  11. Spanish is very similar to Portuguese, so... I can try to translate that interview the best i can. I will post the translation here and in the official forum... If Thorondor doesn't beat me to it eh... Thorondor is a member in the official forum
  12. There's a new article on UFO:AFTERMATH at computerandvideogames.com Nothing new there... but what the hell right?
  13. Thanks for the credit on the screenshots Pete. I really found them by accident , i was going to the official Aftermath site and accidentally clicked on that one... hehe
  14. Just saw some new screenshots (3) of Aftermath here: http://bonusweb.cz/download/screenshoty/uf...dges020315.html It looks like the inside of a base or building of some sort.
  15. Yes it will run in real time You assign orders to your men (when paused) Then you hit the "play" button, and watch them performing your orders. When something unexpected happens, the game will pause and you can change the orders the way you want... [EDIT: some typos ]
