  1. yea that one took me by surprise too (the bad part, is it got me twice when I restarted with the 1.09 RB mod) but I kicking now got to say, it is addictive little bugger LOL, ran into the Matarch seen something walking down the hallway, with what looked like 2 Jet Engines stapped to it's arm, the bad part, my "Commando" had to sit out 3 missions and some, to heal from her last battle, then first shot in this battle and she was down to 1 point !, major battle fought to keep her alive great battle, with 4 down and the 3 left standing, all were down to less then 1/3 points ahhh, dumb question, how do you use rockets !!!!!! (which I got enough goodies now, that I may not need them anymore, but would be nice to be able to use them)

I was going to post a substory about how they didn't ship it until yesterday, so still am waiting, get up from my nap (I work nights) and see 3 packages at the door, but all 3 were books, I ordered getting ready to write and say, Guess I will have to wait until tomorrow, when I hear the door open, so I guess I can say, I am in, LOL, still fighting with the shipping box, it don't want to open okay installing now guess i should start asking questions in about an hour or so I got the rebalancer mod, any others that should be added ?????
  3. Well, got to say, I feel stuipd now, I been waiting for UFO ET to be released and it is/was Afterlight I should of been looking for (I should drop in more (should get my copy tomorrow) Demo was fun, but was pretty lost glad to see the modders have already been at work

Also, when you can, build up the Knowledge of bases that produce the type of resourses you need I got a base that is just colleges, so it improves the amount of Alien resourses I pull in (you need to build a school, to build a college, but once you have 2 colleges you can knock down the school and then replace it with a college and so on) that is a good mod for the base size and SW's mod is a must have
  5. yea, wait till you run into the new SG's what good are tactics ? they rush you and get as close as they can, and only warp weapons seem to do any damage to them (Lazer pistols do 11 a hit) so far, from what I have seen, Warp rifles are useless against the SG's , the trooper gets hit and stunned before he can fire Spiders and Hogs (?) go down easy enough, Clouds are easy too the defenders are HARD to kill, and pack a punch, maybe they are just too fast though (is there anything the 2 Eng weapons can take down ? I not found anything yet that makes a hole or damage combat damage with them) over all, with the new mod, may as well take the commando and ranger skills out of the game, no reason for them in the end game (may as well take out sniper too, since the Defender is going to on top of him/her before she can fire) (point gain for the SG's should be improved, waste too many batt and Ecells killing them for what you gain)
  6. you don't always get the province, if it belongs to some one else, you just improve your standings with them most times, if you get a message for a mission, win the mission and then try to get another mission in the same place, then you will take it over
  7. yes, but the hassle is, that is not a Cheat, it is a game play issue, there has to be at least one Cult base in the world for the game to work right, so if you take all of the Cult Bases, it will take some back I got stuck by that for bit, then let the Cult have LA (it just seemed like the thing to do, they fit so well) now, I just get the odd Wargot/Cult raid, or a Starghost raid (them things are strange) still waiting to take out the Wargot ship

Over all, I would say I do not read follow reviews, other then to try to see what the game system is like, not how the reviewer liked the system or game, most times they got there own point of view to begin with I remember one, the reveiwer was going off on how bad the game was, it is all Hack and Slash, no game play, nothing that a real gamer would want to do, just hack and slash, and I got to thinking, I like hack and slash, so went out and bought it, and it was one of my favorite games for years ! I remember another one (you all may remember it too) the review was bad, the info on the game was bad, how the game would play sounded bad, but for some reason, they had included the demo, as a joke ?, here this game sucks, but you can play the demo and see how bad it really is I loaded up the demo, I didn't even finish the first mission, I paused the game, made a phone call to my friend who worked at EB and found out they had a copy, and went down to buy it I mean, I bought the game before I even finished off the first demo mission as I said, you may remember it, X-Com so, read the reviews to get ideas about the game, maybe look at the screen shots, but make up your own mind on how good or bad the game is

Just sitting around parked in orbit, waiting for something to happen, when the Wargots, hit 3 of my provinces at the same time, the middle east, Spain and New York, so load up the boys and go for a ride the first missions were pretty much standard fare, but plenty of wear and tear on the troops, so by the 3rd mission, a number of replacements are in the line up oh this is a nasty one, the map is the one with the fort door way, enter all your troops to the area to go to the next level yea right, 9 gots and a PW Armor boy standing out in the street behind me which over all, would not of been so bad, but the chain link fence, means I can't fire though it (?) so am pretty much channelled into one place and got to slug it out (of course, in hind site, would of been smarter to just run to the door way and go down ) yuck, looked like 4 or 5 of these guys had flame weapons, fires all over the place soon all of the bad guys are down, I had one of mine dropped, but spend some time healing all my troops (only one made it out with out a dent) (LOL found out a D Kanata, will not dent a PW Armor, even with Crits !, but the back up 50 cal DE did the job) got everyone healed up and restocked and head on down caught 4 of the bad guys in a room, my ranger took them out, but strange there launcher guy was able to fire into the roof and then do damage into the hallway ?, didn't do him any good, but odd then had to hunt down the rest of them, found another 4 in another room, guess they were too big to come out, and were stuck inside of the room oh joy, another PW Armor dude !, my Ranger wasted all of his ammo, as he was standing in the doorway, pulled him back and had him heal and draw his backup DE's had my 2 Snipers at the end of the hallway, but the angle was wrong, they could see there were bad guys but couldn't get a shot off sent my M60 guy to the door for his 2nd try, half his ammo load didn't do much to the PW, but then he moved, and I was able to do some damage to his mates, then somehow when the PW turned he gave me a shot at a weak point in his armor and down he goes then it was just clean up, 5 boxes of M-60 ammo, but they did the job got the box saying the mission was over (think there were more down there, but I was running low on ammo, so took it) end of mission, says I killed 8 guys (I killed 18, 10 top side, 8 down below) got the points for a 8 kill battle, but it was worth it seen something I had never seen before, and don't know why or how it happened, but it was interesting ! topside, just as I had finished off most of the bad guys, one of them turned and tried to run away, and not sure what happened, but all of a sudden, I see a Wargot come flying though the air !, head over heels, about 20 feet in the air I seen he was down and out, so went to work on healing my troops, when all of a sudden I seen movement, the flyer had gotten up and was walking away, my Sniper dropped him he looked interesting, he fell on his face, with his butt in the air and his legs bent back over his head, it looked kind of painful, other then the fact I don't think he was feeling any pain Kewl
  10. Okay, see where the glossery explains the Prem damage repair (should be explained better in the tooltip info for the build though still don't see how you can revive a dead trooper though
  11. it can take time until you start hitting the provinces with bases in them (you should run into a cut seen when you hit the bases for each Pop type) also, don't build many tracks !!!!!!! only build tracks to connect the bases (move your mouse around and click on the provinces you do not own but can see, if there is a base there, it will show up in the little round map at the bottom of the screen, then try and place missions on these)
  12. I think you need to do some more checking I see men with 800 hit points, and women with 1000, it all depends on there Hit point levels to begin with (I can recuit a level 5 Female with 720 hit points)
  13. not sure about it being a mod ? I got the weapon reblancer mod installed, but that is it didn't see anywhere where SW had added that to his mod ? under level 3 medic, that is part of the skill you are suppost to learn ?? (Odd how some one can say, that Perm damage is, well perm, it needs to be healed at base, if it can be healed at base, it is not perm !)

Hi Guys well, i am doing much better now got to the Wargots (whooo that was a shock) now that I am getting some skills and new stuff the info for the level 3 Medic says he can repair perm damage and revive (?) dead troops How ?, I got advance med kits, but all i do is repair temp damage and blood loss ?? am I doing something wrong, or not got enough tech for the right med kit ??? well, thought I would use this as a started, and then we can add more questions as they come up (I got some, but I forget now that I am out of the game)

I think what you need to do is click on the weapon type, and then when the info for that weapon comes up, click on compose, and it will bring up a screen for items that can be added to the weapon I don't have the scope yet, but I got the underbarrel Shotgun and Granade hope that is what you were looking for
