  1. Not really enough info. I've heard about the bank mission being kind of "special" and I found the downed V2 rocket mission which gives you little joe arrows, but does anyone have a list (with locations) of any other "special" missions like there were in S2?
  2. Ebay. I'm in Canada and it was the only way for me to get it. Ebgames carried it in the US but for some ridiculous reason didn't bring it to Canada. I bought it from a shop in Florida, sealed, was around $14 + shipping, guy had it delived to me less than a week after I won. He was a good seller.
  3. I never give melee weapons to anyone but the scout, and even sometimes, only for fun. In S2, I had my scout using the welrod silenced pistol. He had massive familiarity with it, and could consistently hit someone from quite a distance with it. 2 shots in close the guy was dead. Just no need for a melee weapon. In S3 I haven't picked up my scout yet so we'll see, likely something similar. My sniper has the lee enfield scoped currently (I just finished the second of the first set of choiced missions), and a pistol which he rarely uses. The medic has a 33-40 rifle. He's getting to be a decent shot, about 10 or 15 points behind the sniper. In S2, he was almost as deadly as my sniper. Plus all the obligatory medical gear. Gator has the machine gun that only has a long burst. Keeps breaking, so I think he's going to get something else, he's got a handful of grenades too. Nessie my grenadier has an SMG. The 64 clip sized MP 40-II or something like that and an inventory full of grenades My engineer also has an SMG, a beretta 28. with a pile of gear, a few grenades and mines.
  4. Yeah I played it over again last night. This time I alternated saves. I tell you, I've never had so many guns jam and break. For only being like the 3rd mission Gator had the machine-gun (that first one you find, the one that only has long burst) it jammed 3 times and then finally broke. I'd given Nellie the silenced stein you find in the snitch mission (only his second mission of using it, I did 1 random mission) and it jammed twice and broke.
  5. So I restarted this and was playing along. Doing the mission where you have to recover the archives (in the first set). I'm in the second part, I saved the game in there and accidentally got my main character SMG'd after killing the target. SO i reloaded, took out several guys and was jsut about to move in on the target. I thought "Why not save?". So I quickly saved my game, 2 seconds later it gives me the message saying objective failed, he made it to the exit. I reload, goto combat time. No dice, 1 turn and objective failed. I'm nowhere near him. What a joke. I normally alternate my saves, but for some reason didn't feel the need this time so I have to play the entire mission over again.

I loaded it up and ran everyone down to the exit door (couldn't take the allied PK because an THO one was jammed on the stairs dead and couldn't get in to move it even destroying the stairs with a grenade didn't allow it to fall down to the floor very annoying). The fight on the otherside was over before it started. I remembered it being tough, but it was actually a bit pathetic. My hero sniped the guy with the laser weapon dead. Gater stepped up and fire with the axis lazer PK on the PK standing there, dead in 1 shot. My scout silently killed the guy to the right, Nessie took out the guy with the rocket launcher, the other two tagged the other remaining guy in the booth. It was almost too easy. Gator did get hit by the 2nd PK, but not enough to hurt him seriously and he took it out next turn. The rest was scout and pick off PKs. I find it annoying that that gate goes up, but you can "leave" but not put the gate down and go back and get stuff.
  7. I never played extensively using PKs (I think they spoil the game), so I am not sure... If the stairs are damaged or destroyed I don't think you'll be able to get them downstairs...if that's what you are asking about... Never experienced random crashes on this map (or any others for that matter). Are you certain those crashes are game related? The objectives are all downstairs (another underground level): - the documents - the factory owner Yup the game dumps to desktop and reports an error in the game.exe file. Only happened on this map, never had a crash on any other map. I might try and get that large lift working. I hear you can get the PKs on that, I just need to find the switch for it. Hopefully I can get onto the next map and the crashing will stop.
  8. right. I played this through a long time ago. But I recently played H&S and wanted to go back through this again. I'll have to see if I can get my PKs that I've recovered down there. THe stairs and building are a mess from the explosions. I'm also getting random crashes on this map which I did not get on other maps. Anyone else experience that?
  9. I did this without PKs. I set up outside the fence, killed most of the soldiers. Went in with my scout and picked off the rest of the soldiers. PKs started coming up. One got separated, so I blew up part of the building that you can blow up, took him out with my sniper (took like 10 rounds or more) Then threw grenades at two coming up some stairs. Took them both out. Then jumped in the PK with the sniper and sniped the last one that was coming up the stairs. There was one more in there somewhere that got taken out with grenades. They tried to come up the stairs and a couple heavy grenades pretty much finished them off. Spot with a scout and shoot from outside range with rifles. Confuses them and they do nothing. If you can get them in a narrow spot and blow up both sides, they won't move, can't shoot and just sit there and die.
  10. They can use the stairs too. My stairs are a mess because of explosions and knocked out PKs, but they can walk up and down them. I'm currently dealing with the fact that my objectives are missing in that level.
  11. So I'm doing the mission where you have to attack the factory where you first fight against PKs and can't kill any civs. Problem is. PKs are all down, no enemies left and I can't find the objectives. The owner of the factory is nowhere to be found and I can find no shipping documents. I tried using the cheat_showall command to see if he was hiding somewhere weird and upon turning it on, no icons pop up as a special person. I also can't see anyone revealed by that that I cannot otherwise see. I've run my scout into every room and look around and nothing. I've had him open every container he can and no documents anywhere. I've blown up part of the building but no civs died. There are 2 PKs that are "stuck" in weird positions so I can't haul the bodies out of them (trying to blast them out resutls in the building going up) , but as I recall it should have still showed if they were either of the special people. anything here that can help me out, or is something messed up? I have the patch.
