  1. Thanks Slaughter. I can look at just seperating the VFS Gui, but i thought there was one already available that's why i didn't think about it. I only built mine into the app to save all the command prompt stuff. According to the guys over at aftermath, there is a problem with messing up saved games if you edit the pack.txt, so i want to look at sorting that out first. I'll start when i get home from work. Cheers Snotty
  2. Hi, the problem has been sorted out for now. Site is back up.
  3. Hi, not sure what the interest is for a troop name changer at this stage. seems i'm a couple of months late. Anyway, i decided i needed a project to practice my C# in, so a Troopname changer seemed as good a project as any. I haven't tested it full out, but so far it seems fine. the application edit the pack.txt file in the LocalizationPack.vfs file. the file is UTF-16 (unicode) encoded which explains why normal editing with notepad etc fails. I only have the english version so can't vouch for others, but if the pack.txt tagging is the same there shouldn't be any problems. My application allows you to edit the file and saves it back as UTF-16, keeping the correct format. You can also save your list of names for future use so that you don't have to retype them every time a mod that altered the pack.txt file comes out. It has a Gui interface for VFSTool built in for ease of use. Download and Manual are available here. Requires MS .NET Framework 2.0. Links at site above. Use at your own risk, and backup your LocalizationPack.vfs file. Let me know if you encounter any problems. Cheers Snotface
