  1. How do you manage that? I'm up to about 80/80, and even after using as many APs for aiming as possible, a process which takes 2 turns, the moment I press the "aim for head" button, the chance goes from 100% to 12% (not gonna happen). How'd you get it up to 100% on a head?
  2. I'd have to say this is not a terribly smart survival tactic when dealing with heavily armed assholes that have just wasted the town. And why do they have silenced pistols, anyway? Normal people don't carry around silenced pistols. They must be guerrillas or terrorists or something.
  3. It's perfectly legal. I'm a collector of the things.
  4. I was attacked by a mob of red civilians in a random encounter in Hannover in the Allied campaign. The combat wouldn't end unless I killed them all, and kept restarting anytime I encountered more. Plus, the console gave me medal points for killing them. Very weird. There's something not normal about those "civilians", such as the fact that they attack you with silenced pistols sometimes. Maybe they're enemy spies and guerrillas? Oh, well. Can't go wrong with an "Everything red is dead" policy.
  5. Dos and don'ts of looting: Do: Pick up enemy ammo of calibers your team doesn't use, if you use these weapons often, I.E., Mauser ammo if Allied, etc. Do: Pick up explosives, engineering and medical supplies, and other misc items. These don't seem to replenish themselves in the base, so loot as much of these as you can get. Do: Convert clips to their most space-efficient config: You can pack 6 Mauser clips into a single ZB30 magazine. If you don't use a ZB30, you should carry one, just so you can hoard all the Mauser clips. Best space-savers I've found are converting 7.62x53 USSR to DP drums(47@2x2) (or Panzerklein ammo, but this can't be done by an infantryman or until much later), 7.92 Mauser to ZB30 mags(30@1x1), 7.62x39 to RPD (100@2x2), Garand to Browning (20@1x1), etc. If you carry around the correct "converter" gun, even if you never actually fire it, you'll find you can save a lot of return space when retrieving enemy ammo: You can only use as much enemy ammo as you steal, it is not unlimited in base. Don't: Pick up an excessive number of rifles. You definitely do not need more than about 20 of each rifle type. Remember, you don't actually get cash for weapons, so there's no point in it. Just strip them of their ammo and pile them in the corner. Don't: pick up all those 9mm magazines. Regardless of which side you're playing, there's going to be 9mm ammo available for you in unlimited quantity at your base. Don't: Burn before you pillage. Always pillage before you burn.
  6. I've been intentionally trying to misabuse this feature for the past game: I've used corpses as battering rams to break the glass of windows so the snipers can shoot, without having to waste ammo and risk alerting anyone. I've attempted to use them as bombs, dropping them at enemies below to see what will happen if I drop a corpse on him from 2-3 floors up, but so far, I've missed and mostly blown holes through railings and balconies. I've used them as target practice for training my troops on so they'll actually be able to keep up with the reserve troops in skill levels....and I built a giant pyramidal tower out of corpses once. Alas, my attempt to screenshot this crashed the game. :x
  7. It helps that I happen to own a crateload of the things...literally. They're in a crate, in the back. I say this about a lot of different guns, which I also happen to own in crateloads. Except the MP-40 Schmeissers, I own several crateloads of those. Original SS packaging and shipping bill. Unfortunately, I don't know German, so I have no clue what exactly it's about.
  8. The Kar98 is the Mauser K98k/98k. This is the WW2 Mauser 98K, the Mauser 98 commonly referenced in WW2 games. There's also an older, longer, Mauser G98, that was used in WW1, but was replaced by the K98k as primary battle rifle in 1935.
