  1. Thank you Flippah, that worked. I had tried that before but this is where my new problem has cropped up. I can paint textures, finally, yay! But ... I can only paint 1/4 of the area, the other 3/4 won't be affected. Well, this isn't all the time but it has happened more times than it should oddly, and I am using powers of 2 (currently 32 and only getting 1/4 painted) Rofl. For example, I can paint in the part labeled O but the X's won't fill in. XX OX A few more quick questions so I don't clutter up board. Can someone post a list of where certain objects are located, I can't find walls for buildings or such like that but I can find all other things ... O_o. I hope the manual is really in-depth, or someone makes a tutorial website because this is pretty confusing. Can you even move items after they are placed, or do you just get one shot? I am so confused and I used to map quite a bit for Quake 1-3.
  2. I can not change my white grid from anything else, everytime I Try to brush something onto it nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Material is set to Grass_64 I have a Texture layer ...sigh, they really make you do so many steps for something so simple as painting onto the map. I've been trying to brush/erase with no luck forever, it just stays a white grid.
  3. Alright! I fixed it. It was under Tools > Building Brushes. I tried that before but it didn't work, I think maybe it was docked or something until I cleaned the registry and clicked it again. Still this is very frustrating ... Time to get crackin!
  4. Hi, sorry for my first post on this forum to be one out of contempt for the editor. I am absolutely loving this game, to no end, I am hardly even that far but I think that is the appeal to it - play it for a few hours here and there, go again later. Anyways, I first started up the editor to delve into making a map and first thing I saw was the windows and I wanted to move them around a bit - I clicked X on the material window on accident. I'm so frustrated, I have done about 4 re-installs of the game, totally deleting everything in the folder cept for my saves, and I STILL can not get back the Material window. All I have is properties and the layers but material simply does not exist anywhere in my editor. This sucks because I can't even make a simple texture without this window. Is there something I'm missing here? I've gone through my preferences, and I've checked almost everything. I'm not a newbie when it comes to this stuff, and I'd think after multiple reinstallations it would give me the stupid thing back. I can't imagine this being a problem with everyone, because I have seen it nowhere else on the message boards. If anyone can help please do. Back to S^2.
