    hi! I'm Joseph, m not good with 3D modelling yet, m proficient in programming and interested in creating an XCOM mod using UFO:AM...
  2. If expansion packs are concerned, it could be like how they did with UFO:TFTD, where the terror starts from the seas, since no mission ever comes out of a shot down ufo in the seas, right? Questions and clarifications: 1.)Why didn't they show how the moon mission was? 2.)Can't we have a new mission area in the moon where we have to deploy bases of operations before going into the final mission at once? 3.)Why didn't the aliens use biomass in the moon since it is a self sustaining organism capable of living in space? the moon can be made a great new mission dimension... 4.)Are there actually more than one alien? I don't think so, the only alien for me are the reticulans since the latter are only mutations of earth lifeforms... Suggestions: 1.)Can't we make use of the alien armors with the earth armors? like making a combat armor out of the alien armor... 2.)making the jets and choppers equippable, I mean giving them the ability to change weapons would make the game more enjoyable 3.)Doesn't the bases have defense mechanism against ufo attacks? they're just sitting ducks waiting for a ufo to attack them then voila, a new mission... 4.)tanks would be a great addition 5.)vehicles would be even better but that would call for a larger map... 6.)Airstrikes would rule if ever they are given the opportunity... 7.)why don't they create a new story line before aftermath? like stopping the spores from ever be releasing into the atmosphere? it would be like a prequel to aftermath where earth still has all of its glory, using its commanche, raptors, apaches, abrams, etc...

I don't think it would be possible to have a multiplayer module for UFO:AM... this genre of game is solely for single player side... it's not even 100% in single player side then add a multiplayer side? it would only make matters worse... how can you possibly enjoy a multiplayer game in AM? it would be possible if there would be a major major mission, and I'm talking about a long and large map, maybe having 5 or more levels, just like in UFO: Terror from the Deep by XCOM where you have to go through 3 levels of armed to the teeth aliens and kill the mastermind... the overall strategy has to be changed if they decide to add a multiplayer module in order to make it user friendly and increase user satisfaction...
  4. why not add a module wherein we can change the weapons of the fighters being sent? it seems that there is not much control given to the fighter jets, it all relies on numerical processing, a.k.a. randomly! bleck! we need control on our own jets!

Sectopods rule!!! they look great! they have great firepower, but they were susceptible to laser attacks... bummer! anyway, HWPs are things very much missed out in XCOM genre games... lost them ever since Apocalypse came out... sigh... but, can the mod tools have the power to modify the GYRO weapons and turn them into HWPs... heheheh that wouldn't be a problem right? since earth's heavy weapons are no match for their plasma rail gun... a tank that can be loaded and unloaded by its pilot? kind of like C&C Renegade or Battlefield 1942? just a thought though...

  7. well actually... I have started trying out the potential of the official modding tools... so far, I have managed to create new weapons with the xcom theme, having laser pistol, laser rifle, heavy laser, plasma pistol, plasma rifle, heavy plasma, the marsec heavy launcher and the marsec minilauncher... but, the stats of the weapons I have added are still not in tune with the original values... also, if someone can teach me how to incorporate other image types in order to change the icon of the said weapons, maybe I can do better... =) also, have tried to add the research topic in order to produce and use xcom technology... it's such a minor mod and I would really love some help and would even be happier if I can join a team... for I'm going to start working on a thesis very soon...
