  1. OK - So the planters start doing their business after the Area 51 mission. What about before you try the area 51 mission? Or does the biomass start from day1?? In which case you will be against the clock to get the stuff sorted - which would make sense...
  2. One thing I might try then is to keep expanding my bases until I cover the globe without attempting the Area 51 mission. Would be interested to see if the aliens tech improves or whether the biomass starts spreading.... Has anyone tried this??
  3. Excellent PSI defence and Helmet, but still being controlled!! What can you do??
  4. Im half way through capturing a downed Planter after retrieving the biomass sample and boy, the difficulty has become insane! Outside Mission - My squad was dumped in an open space rather than in the corner of the screen and greys appear from everywhere with psi guns and launchers. Managed to kill most of the aliens though which i was well impressed with!! Picked up a few psi pistols as well to use on the inside... Inside Mission - Squad started in a small room with two exits, both start opened which is a bugger. Basically i cannot do anything before a psi grey from both exists take out one guy each. Then there are greys with launchers that fire a few missiles in for good measure, and thats it. Lost count of the amount of times ive reloaded.... Tried to control the launchers with psi guy, but then a launcher from the other exit pops his head round the corner and its goodnight again... If I didnt lose 2 men staright away I could have a fighting chance maybe... My guys have the psi defense helmets on as well - and there useless!!!   5. Hi, Have been playing this game solid for a couple of days and just wanted to see if anyone out there has noticed the same thing... When the Area 51 mission popped up I did it staright away and evetually got through - However, when I did the next set of crashed UFO, based missions, the alien technology was at the same level as the Area 51 aliens, although before this they were at a poor level. Then came the Russian mission, again the aliens didnt even know what a rocket launcher or micro slug gun was until I tried this mission. Managed to finish it after much saving and reloading and luck... However, the next crashed UFO, Base mission involved mass levels of Rocket Launchers and nicro slug guns.... Was just wondering whether the alien technology improves when you accept these missions or whether it gets better depending on how much time passes?? Can anyone shed any light on this before I experiment??
