Yes, in order to collect ressources or research or fabric something, a base have to be connected to the track network. In order to save ressources, you should use sea tracks instead of land tracks. For exemple, you can connect London to Malaga, Malaga to Alger and Alger to Istanbul and then use Istanbul for connecting Russian or Asian Bases. You'll have 2 or 3 tracks less than if you used only land tracks.

Only 3 training per soldier. I think it's a good think Because it force us to choose carefully the training and to have more people for fight.

In the bottom of the research screen, look at the prerequisite. You'll have the amount needed with the name of the ammo.

You do not only need a type of ammo but you need a certain amount too. Check in the prerequisite how much of this particular ammo you need and how much you have. I had the same problem for another research Got only 30 ammo and need 35 for research

Like the help text told you, you juste need a medikit and a free slot in your team. When the ennemy fall inconscious, you must send someone near him. Then, use the medikit to heal the captured soldier.
