  6. i have my research and engineering bases on the interior of my territory and my military bases on the outskirts, for quick response times to UFOs. but now the biomass has appeared.. things are gong to have to change.. ???
  7. oh... but it says "the most exciting moments of a mission" i thought be wastin some alien butt would have been more exciting than seein a certain type for the first time on a mission...
  8. well.. so far.. psg1 = nice range and damage compaired to what i have and alien laser rifle = same as above
  9. delegating the mission would definately be your best option. less hassle and if you've performed well in other missions chances are your troops will complete that mission for you.
  10. my thoughts exactly.. but it does mean you can change your research and engineering bases as the load changes.. and get things s00per [/l337] fast...
  11. ive had a strange occurance with armour... i had a guy in combat armour and equipped him with heavy armour (which weighs twice as much as combat) his carrying % went up as expected but his movement speed also went up. so he travelled faster with heavier armour... he was my HW guy tho, and when i tried it on my medic it had the expected effect... she went a lot slower.

  13. i dont think it is a bug.. cause the energy cells you can produce are the human equivalents for use in the human laser pistols and rifles. and the alien ammo type is just... i dunno where it comes from.. fell off the back of a UFO?
  14. ive only had one crash since i got the game yesterday.. but i have been playing all day and seem to have progressed a fair amount... havent reached that moscow mission yet but i have sun armour and have just got some human heavy armour, lasers etc etc. the crash occured the first time i tried to configure the graphics, some sort of ati.dll dying.. and if i just run from the short cut on desktop it runs in a window, but i can get around this by running the configure proggy and clicking the "launch UFO:AM" button.
  15. hi, my first post etc.. awesome game.. on to business: i dont know why your pilot is in the roster.. but i do know why your base is building.. its replacing the fighter that you lost whilst battling the alien ufo. simple as.
