  1. thanks for that - i deleted 6.12 and replaced it with the 6.31 file but, i know get a 449Item Template error if i load a strategic game OR a memory crash if i load a tactical game Any more suggestions? thanks
  2. Hi all I am running 1.3 with RB6.1. I am going to rescue a pilot on 16/1/05 when i get this message: Ver UFO:AM release 1.3 file C:\ufo_src\UFO\TacticalGame\xichtpanel.cpp\inc109_headTemplate well i may have got some of the letters wrong as i couldn't read my own writing Any idea's how to get around this as i don't want to have to start the game again thanks Doc

    yep - i'd previously activated some other Alpine plugins and saved no probs - i'm not very far in - i'll just restart thanks for all the reall quick help cheers Doc

    thanks Slaughter Seemed to work but .......... i can load a tactical game and play, but when i finish the mission or if i go back and try and load the game at the strategic level it crashes (access violation i think). RBM seems to be working cos my medpacks now have 15 uses can i get around this or do i have to start the game from scratch cheers Doc

    "naked" Rb-mod

    Hi I am trying to run Alpine and Naked RBM. Alpine is fine - but how do i tell if RBM is working at the very beginning. I have just put the .VFS in the UFO directory - is this enough? Only i thought the mod gave med packs 15 uses and mine still have 10. The readme doen't make it clear what is NOT in the game. Am i doing something wrong here? many thanks Doc
  6. ooops forgot there was a similar thread (i even posted on that as well - DOH!) should also have mentioned i am using RB 4.1b it seems form the other post that this is indeed a bug - but is it a game bug or a RB bug? i'm gonna try the naked RB and see if i too get my levels back if anyone can clarify this any further i'd be grateful cheers Doc
  7. In my game : Level 6 needs 3400 Level 7 needs 10400!!!! All other levels before and after 10400 seem to only require a couple of thousand XP - is this a bug or how its supposed to be? Thanks Doc
  8. i have same problem - am using 4.1 mod the XP jusmp is something like 3400 for level 7 then 10,000 + for level 8 can anyone post what the jump is supposed to be? thanks Doc
  9. I'm playing on hard. Its April 8th 2005. Squad of 7 all with Sun or Sky armour and 2 guys with Psi projectors. I get smoked everytime!! I only need move for about 2 seconds before i have about 2 (sometimes 3) missiles fying at me. If its not missiles some other weapon is taking huge chunks of my guys health. Am i trying this mission too early? Or more probably do i need better tactics? By the way - does stealth actually work? Also - i tried the smoke grenade tactics with just 2 guys but they just close and and finish me off. Thanks Doc
  10. Hi all Got the game yesterday and so far have only played the tutorial. Anyway, when i found Brian i used the medpac on him 3 or 4 times but nothing seemed to happen - he didn't recover health. Is this something tha happens over time or should it be instantaneous? Thanks Doc
