  1. Hi all, I was just wondering... What do you do if your best soldier is killed during a mission? Do you play on, pay for his or her funeral and train another soldier? Or do you go like: "Look behind you: a three-headed-monkey" (sneaky mission reload...) and then: "No, she wasn't dead, she just fell over that dead guy's bike..." I haven't played that much, so it hasn't really happen to me yet. But it's different from X-Com and TFTD (sorry for bringing those up again ) because in UFO: A, the soldier's stats rise so much quicker and you can specialize them (which I really like by the way, well done!) (What I'm trying to say is that soldiers are more valuable in UFO: A.)

    Bug Report

Oh dear, I hope not.... Would make me look like an arse...
  4. Just one little question: Is it possible to turn your team-members to face another direction, without moving them? Kinda like pivoting...? It was possible in X-com and TFTD if I remember correctly...

    Bug Report

Someone already suggested this and I think it's a good idea. A topic where you can report the bugs you have encountered in the game. Helpful for other players and maybe even for the developers (for making patches). As there is already one patch released, I suggest you only report bugs encountered playing v1.1. Just one from me to start with: During a capture-alien-from-downed-UFO-mission one of my team-members was shot and fell down seriously wounded. An alien fired a couple more shots at her but seemed to miss, because I managed to heal her and get her to safety. After I killed the alien I let her walk back to the place she fell because it looked like she dropped all of her stuff. But when I looked on the ground her own corpse was there, too (??). So she was both dead on the ground and alive standin' up. She was unable to pick up any of the other stuff she dropped. She was also not able to pick up her corpse. (Although I must admit it would be rather weird if you could pick up your own corpse ) Then I remembered that when I killed the alien that "killed" her, he managed to get a couple of shot of at my other team-members. Although at point-blank range he didn't injure any of them. A cross-eyed alien, maybe, but I think my other team-members just weren't affected by his laserfire... Anyway that's what happened...I guess I'll load up my savegame, try the mission again and see what'll happen now... So, who's up next for a tasty bug?
  6. Hi all, I've have been playing UFO: Aftermath for a couple of hours now and I like it. But just like with X-Com and TFTD, I'm concerned about the progress I make: Am I doing enough missions, should I do bigger missions, am I upgrading the right abilities for my soldiers... I just have 3 soldiers and I've tried to do a couple of the "territory"-missions, but I keep getting overrun by creatures early in the mission. Is it possible to do those mission with such a small team or should I wait for more recruits? Waiting for more recruits is really annoying cause missions keep popping up and I'm wondering if it's bad (for morale? for the general progress of the game?) to decline these missions. Can anyone give me some (moral) support on this? (Geez, I sound like one insecure dude in this post )
