  1. is there actually any difference between the collectors edition and the gold edition of x-com (or are they the same thing). Just the latest question helping me with my war against XP and its inability to run any of the games in the x-com collection'.
  2. Ahhhh, the old Apocalypse problem, now that one is an ongoing saga for all of us, for all of you out there who can actually run the game, YOU ARE VERY LUCKY PEOPLE. Since i have had the game it has not worked on any of the 4 computers, it is simply one of the most incompatible games that has ever been made. This is compounded by the fact that it was designed back in the day when programs still relied quite heavily on DOS. Something i've been meaning to do for a long time is buy an old 486dx 100 or something along those lines (from ebay) and get a copy of windows 95, shouldn' cost much (if anything at all). But yeah, back you your question, I dont think there was ever an official patch to rectify this problem, if there is can someone please tell me?
  3. are there any patches for apocalypse on windows XP, it doesn't work and I deserately want to play it!! damn setup.exe
  4. Totally off the mark here, but i'm new to these forums and there is one thing that is really annoying me. I can't get either of the 2 original x-com's to display properly on my machine, i tend to get a scrambled display, and I think it might be somethiing to do wih win XP. Does anyone know of any pathes available to stop this, has any one else had the same problem?
