  1. I've read a number of theories about what causes different aliens to spawn. That it's fixed by days, that it is based off your average level, etc. What causes the progression of aliens? as in beastmen > alchemists > shamen, > captains >rollers > commanders > uber spiders > matriarchs?
  2. Given a lack of interest in this, I'm going to cease development. I will leave it up as is however, as I said, It's usable as is.
  3. I'd do some css for it if it was popular enough. But my link to it hasn't even gotten a reply lol. I believe plasma does laser damage, and yes they are more accurate than laser rifles. (Laser cannons can 2 shot them as well, but I was referring to laser rifles fully upgraded on big shot). If I do anything else with the site, it will probably be to add weapon profiles, and the ability to comment on things.
  4. Fully upgraded laser rifles on big shot do as well. Look at the "mistress" armor. http://www.irodemine.com/afterlit/Equipment.php They have very poor laser resistance.
  5. Upgraded laser rifles 2 shot matriarchs, even on impossible.
  6. The best advice I can offer for this, would be to view the page in the waybackmachine. That's what I've had to do.
  7. Yea. you can't build them. You can find them and use them from martians though.
  8. There are a few things yo're probably missing. 1. Don't do missions at night, unless you have infravision goggles on your suits. If you do though.... using infravision goggles at night will give *you* the edge of seeing them first. 2. Make sure you're leveling up the stats on your scouts that increase your "scouting". This changes what you can see. 3. you can use a dual class reticulan to get the drop on anything but robots. This is why expedition kicks your ass. (just make sure you have your scouting skill beefed up on him, and make sure he has the appropriate science skills to utilize it). There are addons for your suits that will make it harder for them to notice you. For example, beast men can "smell" you. Put smell absorbers on your units, and then they can't. There is an under utilized menu at the top right of your screen labeled "vision". If you select that option, it will change the vision option you're using, if you have other options (like psi vision from reticulins, or infravsion, or night vision, etc.). But if you don't even see a question mark, I'm thinking you're probably leveling your units poorly (or maybe not leveling them at all?) and fighting at night. This game is *very* deep. For those of us that like complex games, it's a good one.
  9. not sure if you're informing me of that, or asking. If you're informing me, I'm assuming you saw one of the two incorrect database uploads I did. It should be working now. If you're asking, then the answer is no
  10. here ya go. http://www.irodemine.com/afterlit/index.php?weapons=T_AdvancedMining
  11. Okay I fixed it up quite a bit. the names all match and such now. It still needs a little more work for stuff I want it to do, but it is very usable as is.
  12. Here's a web page i wrote for looking up the pre reqs of an item or tech. http://www.irodemine...umanLaserCannon There's the URL. I'm still fixing a few things, but it is usable as is. I do plan on adding annotation for what buildings are what, and what is required for those. I just have to find the proper file for that.
