  1. I've busted up a few beastman hyperspace gates, and one reticulan.. Thingie.. I have no idea what it was. But I wasn't quite sure if these were breakable or not. I'll try that next I play, thanks ^^ Ed: Sure enough they went apart with some dynamite. I was afraid this might be one of those bugs like, say, my troops falling through the ground and the game freezing on occasion when they try to get up from a crouching position..
  2. Another day, another problem I'm not sure how to solve.. I uh.. Waited until -pretty- late to go for the digsite missions. While I can power through the army of various robots easily enough, the second to last room, just before the one where the artifact is, is cluttered with various terrain items. Tanks containing something or else, and four pointed 'stars' of a sort litter the floor.. To the point that my troops can't seem to get past! I would've posted a screenshot but for some reason or other all that comes out is a black screen.. I've done the mission two times now, and both times it was cluttered to the point that even if I'd taken light armour there simply was no route for my troops to take. Am I just screwed now and in need of restarting the entire campaign?
  3. Yeah, I'm back again. I think I may be a bit bad at this game x_x. As the title says, I'm getting enviroment hazards climbing up to 5-6 or even 7 (during the harsher time of day). I've got the hazard suits which sit at enviromental protection of 5 but little defense against the angry locals, and light armor which has kept my guys from being shot to pieces but can't cope with the increased enviromental hazard. So.. I guess what I'd like to know is what should I do about this. Is there a research path to some better medium or light armor, and if so, what is it? Should I rush terraforming (As I understand that reduces hazard rating. In it's own sector only? Neighbouring areas as well? Planetwide?) Should I just suck it up and get my folks trained in heavy armour (Unappealing option due to being slowed down and losing crouch/prone as well as all the training and manufacturing time).
  4. Seems the issue was in the squad having their guns and other things taken away when changing armour. Now I feel a tiny bit stupid for not checking that myself.. Thanks for the help ^^
  5. As the title says.. I'm running the total rebalance mod and it's associates (sans Martian Assault as I hear that does evil things to newcomers like me). I do just fine(ish..) until I finish up my batch of seven light armored suits. And yes, I set the workshop to produce seven and don't equip them on anyone until the run is done. But once equipped.. The squad simply goes into a permanent 'not ready' state. Even bringing in completely different members (such as forming a squad of two aliens) won't fix it. I more or less just registered here to ask this.. I only got Afterlight recently, but it is fun, this weird issue aside. I couldn't find anything on Google or a quick search of these forums as to what to do, but if anyone has any solution to offer, thanks in advance.
