No doubt due to some strange alignment of celestial bodies we haven't previously noted the presence of a significant sighting on the strategic constellation: Achtung Panzer: Operation Star

Released late last year this sequel to AP: Kharkov 1943 features a turn-based strategic element and real-time tactical combat with a marked emphasis on realism that ranges from a topographically accurate landscape, detailed vehicle characteristics and behaviour, factoring in things such as stamina and morale, reinforcements, ammo supplies and repairs management, as well as dedicatedly modelling other battlefield conditions.

Reasons more than sufficient, we'd say, to go and check out this wargame, so you'll be pleased to know a new demo was released this month and a fresh patch made available as well, showing the continued support this title continues to receive from the developers at Graviteam, located in Kharkov, Ukraine.

Now for the final icing on the cake: the game is currently on sale at GamersGate with a 33% discount.
